PrintThe Kings just announced that Dominic McGuire will miss the remainder of the season due a tear of plantar fascia in his right foot. He injured it early against Cleveland, his second start as a King. He's a free agent this summer.

Unless Petrie & Westphal know something, he never really had a chance to make a case. You never know, he may stick here if he can be had on the cheap.

He got two starts as a King and is going to miss the rest of the season because of plantar fascia in his right foot. That says a lot right there. Let him go.
To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.

I liked the athleticism I did get to see. Really too bad he could not have shown his chops. With the injuries this would be his opportunity. I bet he is totally bent.
Kings should sign him to a year contract this summer
If Udoka doesn’t return, I think he’ll be a good replacement for him. Udoka’s been taking some shots lately and missing, which pisses me off cuz he’s not that great of a 3 point shooter! Plus, why does he always look clueless?

tough break for him
He is athletic but didn’t get much of a chance to show what he can do for the team. I imagine he will be available late in the summer at least he can be an option if needed for depth.

Neither the Wiz nor the Kings gave him much of a chance this year, but check out his work from last year, especially during the second half of the season when he became a consistent starter. The guy put forth a lot of really good games. Unfortunately, it’s tough for guys in the Shane Battier mold to get the chances they deserve, since their such black holes for stats (no-stats all-star, as Battier has been called).
