Stephen Curry vs. Tyreke....err Beno Udrih
Despite the hype, this is a way more similar comparison.

I love it
The per 36 is very telling. Greatest part is it makes Beno look better & Curry look worse at the same time.

Yeah.........
If you look at the difference in pace between the 2 teams it’s even more similar.
When they are both pace adjusted to the league average of 95.2 (GSW is at 103.0 and SAC at 96.8) they are basically in a dead heat per 36 minutes.
Udrih : 14.8 PTS / 5.2 AST / 3.1 REB / 1.1 STLS
Curry : 15.3 PTS / 5.3 AST / 4.0 REB / 1.7 STLS

actually
I think if you would look at Curry’s numbers now and Mike bibby early in his career, you’ll find much more simalarities. Keep in mind, Bibby was 20 when he was drafted and Curry is 22
Phil Jackson, after treatment for a kidney stone "When the anesthesiologist leaned over me, he said "We named your kidney stone Kobe because it's not passing."
Agreed......
I’ve gandered that way as well. I just thought that the Udrih/Curry comparison is relevant due to the attention given the Curry/Evans debate.

Yeah
Remember talking the Bibby comparison before the draft. Still see it now, although in a completely different (see, wide open) offense than I imagined.
wasn't Curry 21 when drafted?

Tyreke Evans vs. Curry...hmm Corey Maggette
Tyreke: 20.3 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 5.6 ast, 461 % fg, 37.3 min. pg
Corey: 20 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.5 ast, 521 % fg, 29.7 min. pg
And I believe Corey has higher PER then Evans. So much about the hype…
This whole exercise of comparing rookies
to guys who have been in the league forever, is pointless.

Aykis.........
I get what you’re saying and totally agree, but for this purpose I was comparing a season to a season.
Regardless of league experience, Udrih and Curry have put up those number this season, right?

I don't like this one as much for comedic purposes.
Beno is a funny comparison because Tyreke is better than him already.
Curry will be better than Maggette but is he yet? Not sure.
Thus, not as funny.
But I’m probably biased.
No shame in that
Maggette is an established scorer in this league. As much as a lot of people wouldn’t want him on your team he is very good. Guys like him have 1 job & that’s to get you points. He does it very well similar to a Jamal Crawford who has also been scrutinized for his scoring ways but just needed the right fit. The difference is guys like that are better as a 6th man because they don’t make other players better. Tyreke does & is getting better & better at it.
I love beating dead horses.
Ummmm.......
It’s funny because it’s Beno “freakin’” Udrih…….Steph Curry is having a similar season to Beno “freakin’” Udrih…….

But Beno is overpaid & Curry is a "phenom"
No I get it & it is very funny.
I love beating dead horses.
Its really Beno's 3rd year
playing time wise. Maybe 4th
