I am thinking the best the Kings can do is win 2 of the last 6….That puts them at 26 wins.
So if the Sixers go 0 for 7 ..its a tie (doubt it)
Detroit needs to win at least 3 of 8 or they finish with a worse record (3 is the best they can do)
Washington needs to go 4 and 4 or they can’t get to 26 (don’t see 4 possible)_
the Warriors need to go 5 and 3. (don’t see 5 possible)
Best guess now, picking 6th until the ping pong Gods move us to 9.

I can see why the management of a franchise might like to see their team improve their chances in the lottery by losing games down the stretch.

But what would the players gain by facilitating that race to the bottom?

Most of them have incentives in their contracts, not to mention big egos and personal pride. Plus, if a stud rookie joins the team the next season isn’t there a good chance that could threaten one of the current player’s starting job? I mean, I would think that the last thing Jason Thompson wants to see is Derrick Favors showing up at training camp next year.

Obviously tanking has happened in the past, but I’d love to know how the coach convinced his players to take a dive.

They’re 1.5 games back after tonight’s win against New York. The Warriors’ last few games include games against Washington, Minnesota, and the Clippers. The Kings’ remaining games are pretty much all brutal; we get the Clippers, but also play Portland, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, and the L****s. It’s not at all inconceivable that Golden State could pass us up in the standings, or at least tie with us.

I find it interesting that if you look at the current standings: The point differential wins.
In the Western Conf. only those teams with positive diff (in green) 1-8. The rest of the teams are in the red. In the Eastern Conf. the top 7 are all green. The one red – Toronto fighting for the 8th spot.

Detroit with a double digit losing streak – 10 . The second longest losing strreak is the Kings with 6. On the other end. Phoenix Suns with 10 game winning streak, Miami Heat with a 7 game win streak. Great stuff.

I added the upcoming shcedule for the Dubs and the Wizards just in case. I really don’t think they catch us but I guess anything can happen

Dalembert is defending Bosh as good as I’ve seen a big defend CB4. Bosh has 24 but Dally did a great job on himsince he went back to the game in the 4th

no, this isn’t about RekeRoY’s 20-5-5 or what ever would the Kings do with both John Wall and Tyreke Evans in the backcourt – much more important:

Nellie’s Warriors have won another and sit just one game less in the loss column than their beloved East on I-80 rivals. I have paid for 4 frikkin’ season ending dinners in a row. I disallowed a forfeit just two months ago under the stupidity of fair play and niceguyness. I want to enjoy a Napa dinner – the chewiness of success, the juices of victory, the flourless chocolate just desserts that winners relish, with raspberry coulis and creme fraiche.

Please one more win should do it. We are talking about something important now. A tie is an unacceptable outcome – a cold toilet seat of a compromise. I am going to ARCO on Thursday, that would be as good a time as any.

This Gives 3 man big rotation of Lee, Landry and Thomson (with Brockman thrown in there too)
I would envision having a rotation like this

Beno > Garcia
Tyreke > ??? >Udoka
Omri > Noc > Mcquire
Landry > Brockman >May
Lee > Thompson

I can See Brockman already working on his offensive game more, and hope he gets some real push on it this summer. he will be a great guy for cheap price that I don’t wanna see on another team. if it takes dumping may or Udoka to keep him then i say definitely..He will have some good talent in his 6’7" body. Also for how much the kings already promoted him and how cheap we could get him back for, I think its a must. This gives us 12 on the roster with a real need of a Shooting guard that can hit consistently from the outside to pair up Garcia with (Udokas not good enough for me for a bench player) and i am not sure enough about Mcguire yet to put him over Noc at this point.

Right now Washington is shellacking the Dubs, up 25 at halftime. Detroit and Philly are tied at the half, and New York is up 6 on Boston at the end of the first. And then our game later.

So they’re gone. I’m deleting them from the post. Time to shorten the rotation.

I thought we were at 24 wins with 4 games to go.

Washington up 15 on the Celts with 10 to go, Pistons up 5 on Heat with 10 to go as well.

25 wins for the season and the 4-6 lottery spot is just fine with me*.

• disclaimer: Warriors cannot win anymore games – Dinner is May 8th. I would be okay to split the check but man, keeping the plastic in my pocket for the meal sounds better.

Really good final scores out there for Kings lottery chances

They’re playing good lately, and they should beat Minny at least. Philly might or might not, same with us. I like GS chances against the Clips because they just look like they don’t care right now. We’re not going to catch the Clips or Knicks so I’m not too worried about that.

We have a pretty decent shot at the 4th worst record, yeah? Nets, T-Wolves, Dubs, then us or the Wizards.

That 4th slot, which realistically is the best we can hope for in terms of lottery odds, gives us a real good chance at Favors.

Kings can’t catch the Knicks so they are out. If Clips beat GS they will also be out of reach
