"I didn't play well this year, the whole year," he said. "It's no shot (at) the coach. It's about me. I think I need to take care of me. I need to play well.

And he continues...

Funny
I have to say though, comments like this make me really respect Noce. Sure, he does things in game that piss me off, but his effort and candor are really appreciated. Go Noce go…just, maybe not always right at the basket.

I feel bad for him
the same way I felt bad for K9 2 years ago
Phil Jackson, after treatment for a kidney stone "When the anesthesiologist leaned over me, he said "We named your kidney stone Kobe because it's not passing."
sure...coz if that deal was offered to you...
you’d have said “no, no, you’re overpaying me. Cut the money in half and then maybe we have a deal.”
What people seem to forget was Nocioni was a valuable member of the Bulls when he got that contract…he was “the Heat Killer” (dubbed by Miami fans, not me) and a part time starter in 2 positions. What’s funny was he took less money as it were, coz he turned down a slightly bigger offer from the Grizzlies (even after Pau Gasol called him up) to resign with the Bulls, out of loyalty.
Sure, that’d ancient history and is barely relevant to our situation, except to put Noce’s contract in its proper perspective.
There can only be one Noce!
what I saying is I have a hard time feeling bad for pro athletes
and obviously I would never turn down money, but when you make that much you will be in the judged differently then say a Ime
Valid point.
Just trying to keep things in perspective.
Im sure, if Noce (maybe even K9) had his way, they would have been battling in there every night, not settling in a courtside seat.
There can only be one Noce!
Yeah, Nocioni had a visit from the Grizz GM and a call from Pau Gasol in the first week of restricted free agency but told them...
he was waiting for the Bulls… Paxson came through with a deal slightly less than the Grizzlies but with a promise that the Bulls core would remain intact for a possible Finals-run. Unfortunately, the Bulls slumped and Nocioni got traded.
There can only be one Noce!
As much as we all make fun of Noce
He’s a warrior and plays hard whenever he’s on the court. He may have turned into a volume shooter lately but he still plays as hard as he can and he, at least, cares. I can appreciate that.
I really hope he can get the chance to help a contender sometime in the future.

I thnk that'd be best for both parties.

Noce seems very unhappy to me.
I like Noc. Always have. But, I really do think that he needs to go. This is no longer a good situation for him and I no longer feel that he is good for the Kings.
To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.
Yeah, I've been picking on Noce more than anyone
He is our new K9. A guy with a bloated contract who can play but has younger guys in front of him that do the same things. He plays hard & is a defensive specialist on Dirf. We might actually win 1 or 2 games with him in the starting line-up but that would probably drive a few people nuts here. It makes it hard to not hate his contract when Udoka does the same things for a fraction of the cost.
Sorry for the random thoughts.
I love beating dead horses.

Pretty valid random thoughts tho.
What struck me about your thoughts was that Noce is doing what he always does, but when he was 26 and on his rookie contract, he was beloved. At 30 and with his present contract, he is condemned. That’s how life is…a 10dollar tool is a bargain at 8dollars and next to useless at 15dollars.
I wonder if we’d still love what Landry brings to us if he was earning 10M a year…
There can only be one Noce!
Probably not
If we had an emerging JT & say a good young developing Favors on the roster. Landry is a lot better & more versatile than Noce though thus the $10 million dollar pricetag you gave him.
I love beating dead horses.
Yeah. For the record, if Landry had Noce's contract, I'd still like Landry.
