At least Jennings isn't always mouthy.

No mistakes in the tango, Donna. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
Or stupid I mean.

Good luck BJ
Way to stick up for us, and not rub it in.
There are some guys smarter than me, some guys better looking, I take comfort in the fact that there is no guy that is both.
It's never too late to learn humility and to show support for others.
Good for you Jennings. Good for you.

As a Jenning hater
I appreciate this. You get one slow clap from me Brandon. Keep it up!

With.
I might throw in a second slow clap, though.

I'm sure Jennings can get the clap on his own guys...

I don't get the hate toward Brandon Jennings.
I enjoy watching him play basketball. He is fun to watch and he is having a great playoffs. I don’t get it.
To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.
He mouths off a bit and comes off pretty immature
I think sometimes people forget he’s a 20 year old kid. Not all of them end up being as mature as our 20 year old
#vfettkefordraft
"The Kings will get a top 3 pick in the 2010 draft. Book it!"
I am just curious.
What is the worst thing he has ever said?

I was a little ticked at the "Just landed in Sac, smells like cows" thing

Really?
I think that was very funny. He’s on a rival team landing in town, playing off all the previous cow town references. He was using sarcasm.
To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.
But why? It's not like we had some ongoing feud with him at that point. Just seemed rude and out-of-the-blue
Unless he was peeved that we didn’t take him with the #4 pick or that we beat them on their home floor. Still doesn’t make sense to me to make a joke about Sacramento because of those things though.

I just didn't think it was any big deal.
I just laughed when I heard it.

this comming from a guy who plays for a team in Wisconsin?
Umm... I thought we were officially referring to Voison as the Chick Replacing Amick at the Paper? or CRAP, for short.

I had a post about this a while ago
Let me see if I can find it
"Children want what they want when they want it." ... Andy Sims
Found it
This is what I wrote before in response why I don’t lik eJennings
I’m one of those who criticizes Jennings
Why? The kid keeps giving you chances to. He’s still a punk and needs to just play basketball. He could be a damn good player in this league but so far his off the court stuff is as interesting as his play on the court. Want a recap? Here we go:
Calls out Rubio on PGpalozza saying he’s all hype and that when they played each other he outplayed him (wasn’t true).
Doesn’t show up for the actual draft because he didn’t know who was going to pick him (fair). He then shows up, a couple picks late, just to get his time in the spotlight.
A conversation between Jennings and rapper Joe Budden (spelling?) where he talks shit about Luke Ridnour, he’s competition at PG, and the Knicks org for passing on him.
If I recall correctly, he trips Jason Thompson out of frustration on a summer league game. Doesn’t foul him really, just intentionally trips him.
After the Kings-Bucks game, he comes out and says that Reke might’ve had more points but he was better overall. I’m sure it didn’t matter who won that game.
On an recent article in ESPN he says that if the Bucks make the playoffs he should absolutely be ROY (because it’s all on him; he’s the reason the Bucks would make the playoffs… in the east)
Friday: BJ takes 23 shots, the most in the rookie squad, and only less than Russel Westbrook, who scored 40, and Michael Beasley who scored 26. Jennings scored 22.
Look, I’m sure you can make excuses for all of these things. They’ll range from "that’s nothing, everyone talks like that" to "it’s a meaningless game," but really, how many rookies have had these many type of incidents just a little over 6 months into their NBA careers? I know that Jennnigs gets a bad rap many times, but is it really unfair or unwarranted?
I’ll be the first to say that I’m a Jennings "hater," if you want to call me that, but like I said on the thread: the kid just keeps giving me ammo. If he would shut up and play basketball I would have more respect for the kid
I do believe he was sincere with his congrats so I respect that and hope he keeps it up.

I am a fellow Jennings hater but...
I feel this thread is the wrong one to keep bashing him

Ed, I appreciate you listing all of these things.
I found the all the things that Jennings said hilarious. He is just a 20-year-old kid talking shit.
If he did trip Jason Thompson out of frustration on a summer league game, that’s not cool.
If you want to put him on your hate list, that is up to you.
To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.
Definitely
and Prow, I’m not bashing him here. I was just explaining where my “hate” was coming from. I give him props for congratulating Reke; shows maturity.
"Children want what they want when they want it." ... Andy Sims
I get the sense that he's very passive aggressive
And this was actually a shot at Tyreke. BJ wins a road game in the playoffs and uncharacteristically congratulates his rival in a very facetious manner.
Seriously, I know these punks think…
When the presser happens tomorrow
I could give 2 shits less about BJ3. Seriously. It isn’t worth thinking about him. Tyreke winning ROTY is about Tyreke winning ROTY.

I don’t buy it. You’re just pushing your pro Eastern Conference agenda!

Eh, it's too easy to post on twitter
I think it would have been more work not to say anything about it, plus I doubt he has the mental capacity to play mind games. If he was going to say something, it would have been flat out and it would have been idiotic.

Didn't you just post that this isn't the thread to bash Brandon?
Then you turn around and bash him with this:
I doubt he has the mental capacity to play mind games.
What’s up with that?

Damnit, I suck

You completely misinterpreted my post.
First: It was directed at RikSmits, who played for Indiana, thus the “pro Eastern Conference agenda”
Second: It was sarcasm. I was searching for the hidden agenda in the post Rik made about not searching for a hidden agenda.
It was not related to Brandon Jennings.
Someone help this guy up, please.

Hey! You Tryeke spelling Tyreke after scoring 12 points in the 1st quarter
and then cruising to a 25 point game on super for you 8-20 shooting. Do that and then you can complain about my spelling.

Excellent point ASSN.
To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.
He was being classy even if he may not been sincere.
No different from a losing team congratulating a winning team for their win. Just good sportsmanship.

Yeah, I do think he meant it, and he was being a good sport.
I don’t think he’s actually thought he had a chance to win it for a while. The “08 class” thing I guess is pointing out that Curry is older than ‘Reke and BJ? In any case, I don’t think any of those guys have beef with each other, even if they each think they’re the best, they just want to play basketball.

I think you are probably right.
I am sure each one was hoping to win it. But, as you say, they just want to play basketball.
