Stats were close with Melo and LeBron...
A lot of people who think Jennings should be ROY should look no further than LeBron v. Melo. Lebron 21-5-5-1.6stls. Melo 21-6-3-1.2stls BUT took his previously crappy nuggets to the playoffs. Overall better stats: LeBron. Winner: LeBron.
I think and still think that Melo had the better rookie season.
But a worthy compromise would have been Co-ROTY’s.

thinking Melo deserved some share of it. But I don’t think Jennings did. WAY to streaky, stats were not their, better supporting cast yada yada yada. I mean Tyreke beat him in every major statistical category. I am a little surprised there is this much heartburn on ESPN.com

The interesting thing
Is how few 2nd place votes Curry got. He and Tyreke both got 50 votes for second place. So almost everyone who didn’t put Tyreke first put him second. But out of the votes for Tyreke to be first, many placed Curry third. I’m honestly pretty surprised by that.

Perhaps if someone were on the fence, as to which way to vote, it could sway a person. I just find it hard to think that it would make much of a difference to most people. I just wish I knew what Reke said to ref to eject him from the game. My guess, it wouldn’t take much.

I'm sure Tyreke said worse things to refs at different points.
Also, voters did change their votes with the NBA office on Thursday (which was the last day you could submit votes) after having submitted theirs already. Thursday was 2 days after Tyreke’s ejection, and 1 day after Curry’s 42 pt outburst.
I’m certain it made a difference. But not that much of a difference to enough voters to change their votes. I think too many were afraid to vote against the 20-5-5 milestone and have it look bad against them 5 years down the road.

I don’t think the ejection mattered much. Curry going off at the end of the season and doing so well is probably the real reason for changed votes. The kid can definitely score.

Now I realize that’s a big if based on your comments re your wardrobe. I would love it if ‘Reke wore that suit for the next 3 years and never got around to buying 6 carrot diamonds for each ear. It would mean he’s taking care of his money and not worrying about what the other playahs are thinking about his style.
