Post-Game Thread: Trail Blazers at Kings

Tough loss, but Blazers did a good job on Reke and Kings couldn't hit their Freebies.  Tyreke is definitely going to have to earn 20/5/5 now, because he's 1 point behind pace, and we're not exactly playing creampuff defensive teams for the last 5 games.  JT was pretty awesome though by the way.  Perhaps his future is at the Center? --Aykis16

I never expected

Reke to possibly come up short on points. I always thought there was a chance with rebounds or assists, but not points.

He only needs 10 boards now.

That’s what’s really interesting.

He's got the boards easy

I think he has points too, but he can’t have any more sub-par scoring games, and he probably needs to throw in a 30 point game in there just for fun.

Houston is the key. Battier is out possibly for the rest of the regular season but there’s a chance he could come back, we’ll see. If he’s available, that’s not good for Reke. If he’s not, that would be a great game for Reke to dominate, although Ariza is a pretty good defender himself, he’s no Battier, and Houston isn’t too imposing inside without Yao.

It certainly looks like that Houston game

might decide things for ’Reke

I’m optimistic though that he will get it.

The Clipps game may be another where Tyreke puts up another good scoring night.

Hell, SA could be one of those nights. Either way, Aykis, I’m not all that interested in the 20 5 5 stat line he may put up. I’m interested in how he plays.

I loved how Tyreke didn’t try to go and score on that last possession and instead just dribbled the ball out.

I think Team Tyreke really pushes for him to do it.

So he should be able to get it with ease. He’s only a point off, averaging 19.985 I believe. So barring any freak injury, he’s got it I the bag as long as he goes out and plays his game.
