Dude Perfect's awesome

It’s nice to see the Maloofs spend some money in creative ways to promote Tyreke. I think the TYREKE-ROY-OMG campaign might have been over the top but at least they’re trying to improve Tyreke’s, and the Kings’, image around the league.

Here we go with the Dick Motta jokes.

You should be ashamed of yourself for making us have to remember that Motta was ever a coach in Sac. How dare you TZ!

On the other hand, congrats for kicking my ass in the ESPN brackets. But then again, a lot of people ended up doing that after all my Final 4 teams got knocked out in the Elite 8. LOL

If Butler wins I'll be happy

Mid Major winning it all proves that the NCAA tournament isn’t just about the best teams. It’s also, partially, about luck.

I have a feeling Duke's gonna win in a blowout

Hayward is out for the game and he’s Butler’s best player. I’d like to be proven wrong, but I doubt I will be.

Rarely.

Also, that is a weird way you phrased it, ‘received luck.’

My joke is that the Kings in the Sacramento era have been mostly ‘unlucky,’ and that luck is minimized in the NBA by the talent level and the long, drawn out playoff series. I want to go back to 5 game first round series.

Also, the NBA is fixed. It is ran by David Stern, who is owned by the Cuban mafia and the Rothschilds.

I have been saying that Thompson should be a center for a long time. It is nice to know that the stats back me up.

He can really add some bulk to that frame.

I am excited that maybe the Kings can go into this off-season with a Jason Thompson agenda of adding say 15 lbs of muscle to handle some of the leagues bigger centers. I have long believed that Thompson is capable of changing his body slightly to either be leaner for the 4 or bigger for the 5. If he knows going in what he needs to do, I think he can come in ready to roll. I honestly believe that Thompson is one of the answers in the post for the Kings- but I am a huge Thompson fan.

He tried that last season in Summer League and had to lose it.

So, in a way, I think you’re projecting JT to be something he’s really not.

I thought Thompson said he gained weight but not in a good way last summer.

I think Thompson does need to become something he’s not- a guy who can stay out of foul trouble. I expect Thompson to improve, just like any other 3rd year NBA player. If he can play center, then the Kings have one less major hole to fill and they don’t have to gamble on a player like Cousins if Favors is available or Aldrich. If Thompson can improve his footwork again (yes, his footwork was a lot better this year), become more consistent with the jumper and continue to grow as a defender and rebounder then I see him being a facet in the Kings rotation for a long time.

I'd prefer him at the PF though

He’d be an Al Horford – Emeka Okafor type C and I’m not a fan of those guys at the C spot.

He does not need to get bigger.

My theory is that he plays better at the 5 because he is simply not fast enough to keep up with most of the power forwards in today’s NBA. Not on defense. Notice the difference in fouls at the 2 positions. He doesn’t get anxious and use his hands against slower, bigger players. Usually.

I don’t think he is our best option at the center position; I think Spencer still is. But I think he can be pretty good and be a decent rotation big man, and that he should get more minutes at center. We will see how it goes with the draft this offseason; that might change our needs in the frontcourt.

I still remember that before his rookies season people kept talking about how fast JT was for how big he was (i still remember David Thorpe throwing out a reference to Karl Malone) and he could even play SF. Kinda funny today.

On Omri-

After seeing him out and about on St. Patrick’s Day, I have a feeling that managing his brother is as big an issue for Omri as any other commitment. Omri is a wall flower and his brother is definitely the “big personality”. It seems like a very strange relationship, big bro is loving the NBA lifestyle without suiting up- hanging on the chicks and such while Omri is looking for pillar or wall to lean up against- no drink, no chicas (wearing a Mr. Rodgers sweater). Again, just pure conjecture here but I think that his bro sets up a lot of commitments so he can get his 15 minutes of fame while Omri is trying to be a good little brother and an ambassador. Maybe Omri has a “blue print” we/he don’t know about and it involves getting big bro a whole lot of ass.

Not a cop but I watch a lot of Law and Order. : )

I hate to dance so when I go to a night club/lounge with the wife, I often do a lot of people watching…and drinking, I’m a Kettle Tonic man…which I will now go make for myself. Brockman, Donté, JT and Omri were all at the St. Patty’s Day party downtown. Donté and JT were together, Brockman with a few shorter white dudes and Omri was with his brother among others. People left Omri alone for the most part but he stood around the middle of The Mix, looking for places to hide in plain sight. His bro on the other hand was huggin on all the ladies with his overly styled hair.

Well that explains it.

You like to do a lot of people watching so you have developed some powers of observation. It is a learned skill. Some people are a lot better at it than others. I have worked with some people who are very good at it. They pick up some amazing things that the casual observer misses.

To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.

It was 2 or 3 hours of observation.

His brother is Mr. Charisma, a ‘life of the party" type guy. It’s kind of a strange dynamic, one that I see Omri growing away from when he finds a lady friend.

interesting comment

i saw him awhile back at the Mix and saw pretty much the same thing. I almost wondered if Omri got dragged out by his brother because he looked bored and annoyed.
