Phil Jackson: Steve Nash is a Cheater
Phil's up to his usual antics, getting pre-butthurt over the favorable officiating that every team outside of his poor Lakers squad receives.
I know the guy's a great coach, but I won't miss his "I'm the wittiest guy in the room" vibe when he's retired.

Something tells me Phil Jackson could have coached the Cavs to a championship this year
Screw you Knicks! LBJ to the Kings!!!
Definetely
I waS actually thinkin earlier, if he’d consider going to the Cavs and leaving the Lakers.
Either way, he’s still a douchebag. Doing the same thing he did with Durant.

Interesting quote by Stern
“So, our coaches should be quiet because this is a good business that makes them good livings and supports a lot of families, and if they don’t like, they should go get a job someplace else.” – David Stern
Keep your mouths shut, because you make a lot of money.
To be the best, you have to do your best. Otherwise, you are only second-rate.
Or you could post the whole quote without taking it of context.
“I wish I had it to do all over again, and starting 20 years ago, I’d be suspending Phil and Pat Riley for all the games they play in the media, because you guys know that our referees go out there and they knock themselves out and do the best job they can. We have coaches who will do whatever it takes to try to work them publicly,” Stern said. “What that does is erode fan confidence, and then we get some of the situations that we have. So, our coaches should be quiet because this is a good business that makes them good livings and supports a lot of families, and if they don’t like, they should go get a job someplace else.”
Keep your mouth shut, because you are damaging the game that has made you rich beyond your wildest dreams.

Apologies
While my text was OK, my headline was dickish. My bad.

No problem, your post was a decided improvement.
It is a great quote and it reads much better in its totality and your accompanying text is great.

I have a hard time believing that this came out of Stern's mouth
Plus, why can’t he suspend them now? Why is it too late? Does that mean he’s admitting he treats people differently, cuz if Westphal pulled that crap he’d be suspended for sure.
I’m not saying this quote isn’t valid, it just seems unSternylike

Last I checked
Jordan was the biggest violator of the carrying rule in the history of the game. And Kobe is a close second
If the Lakers were on channel 5 and there were a bunch of frogs making love on channel 6, I'd watch the frogs even if they were coming in fuzzy!
I wishes for once
some reporter would jump and be a smartass back at Phil. You know, like after Phil says how Durant has been getting star calls, someone would ask “Star calls? Like the ones Kobe gets all the time?”

I know what you mean.
Before the playoffs began, Jackson was fined $35,000 by the league for comments made about Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant, after he said, “As far as the calls that he gets on the floor, I think a lot of the referees are treating him like a superstar; he gets to the line easy and often.”
Phil is acknowledging that superstars are treated differently by the referees. I guess it is okay for Kobe to get that treatment, but not Kevin Durant.

Haha check out Nash's response
Best coach in the league, Popovich, didn’t have a problem w/ it last week

One of the many reasons for Nash's greatness.

Here's some response quotes from Nash, Gentry, and Amare
I love the elbolinkws line.

I'm willing to commit heresy and agree w/ Phil about the refs...
Just as soon as he gives Adelman his ring from 2002
Phil
I’d suggest that Phil thinks its money well spent
If he thinks it helps him win a championship
then I’m sure he thinks it’s money well spent
