With apologies to newbies like King7420 who felt the wrath of JJHam15, this is the day that I look to as the beginning of the real off-season. From this point forward, we will hash over every player that will go before the Kings and every player that might become a King with a new point of reference. We will see the obligatory "Why Greg Monroe will be a King" post and we will watch as 18-23 year old basketball savants move up and down an imaginary draft board, all with the dream of being the next super star. This is the day, for good or bad, that a portion of our teams history will be determined.
Today is that day. The day when we know more than we did the day before, the day where the discussion can really begin. Lottery day is to the NBA what the day after Thanksgiving is to the Christmas shopping season. This is the day when we, as fans of a lottery team, place our fate in the hands of a group of bouncing balls in a hopper and pray.
