Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

Had to share this for this quote alone:

"Babbitt measured around 6-9 in shoes with an 8-9 standing reach. That doesn't blow you away. However, he had an impressive 6-11 wingspan and essentially measures up with Griffin (6-10 in shoes, an 8-9 standing reach and a 6-11 wingspan).

But Griffin is way more athletic, you say? Not according to the combine numbers."

Oh, Chad. Chad Chad Chad.....

Luke Babbitt is destined to score a career high against the Kings

and be drafted by the Pacers.

Your'e so right

He’ll probably go for 40 in a season in which he averages 4 points.

This logic confused me

Babbitt measured around 6-9 in shoes with an 8-9 standing reach. That doesn’t blow you away. However, he had an impressive 6-11 wingspan

Does impressive equal average because that’s what that looks like to me.

Could some of you maybe use a condom once in a while?

Definitely need to drum up as many alternative players for Minny to take as possible.

Not gonna lie

That’s pretty damn impressive. Rautins numbers even more so. But Crawfords mix of athleticism and shooting still wants me to have him in the conversation at 33.

very useful numbers

disappointed i didnt see wesley johnson’s name on this list….i wouldve wanted to see his shooting stats

"I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot...and missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why... I succeed." Michael Jordan.

i found this surprising

going from college 3 pointers to the nba 3 pt line..

Jordan Crawford went from 16-25 to 20-25, proving that his game vs xavier was no fluke
however
Xavier Henry went from 20-25 to 13-25

The thing is though

How much can you really take from 25 shots in a gym with people standing around? High pressure shots under the circumstances, sure, but we know from the Douby rumors how little you can really take from workout shooting.

well we can take what we already know

for example…..
we already know jordan crawford is a big time shot taker, he did on the biggest stage he played on in the NCAA tourney

so that is just re-affirming it

Yes

and Kevin Durant was hands down one of the worst athletes of his draft class. Measurements are meaningful at the combine, but I put almost 0 stock in the “athletic” measurements.
