I wonder why this happened
things were just starting to go his way..
"Greg Ostertag is one of the finest centers in the history of Western Civilization." - Bill Walton
via Woj's tweet
its because ownership wanted Kerr to take a paycut, and he refused
Phil Jackson, after treatment for a kidney stone "When the anesthesiologist leaned over me, he said "We named your kidney stone Kobe because it's not passing."
He did a fine job
Seemed to start off shaky with the Shaq trade and by letting D’Antoni get away, but signing Hill and Frye, drafting Dragic and Lopez, holding on to Amar’e … well done.
Luckily for the Suns, they have David Griffin, who is a Dennis Lindsay/Sam Presti style “it boy” in basketball circles. He’ll do great down there.
Was that Shaq trade really that bad? I know everyone was up and arms about it at the time but Marion wasn't staying.
Plus the JRich trade worked pretty darn well.

"I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot...and missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why... I succeed." Michael Jordan.

At least he was willing to go for it.
It didn’t work, but it was worth a shot.
"Seriously guys, why are they pissed off? Because of the rape... are you sure? That doesn't add up." - Daniel Tosh on Kobe Bryant

Kerr
He’ll go back to TNT – less stress and likely to take Collins’ spot.

He was always an intriguing writer for Yahoo as well.

This is purely and simply a Robert Sarver move
Whether or not it makes a difference remains to be seen. Fortunatley for Steve Kerry he has kept his popularity high. Visibility blended with success will have him ready willing and able to take the helm of the “right” spot when it opens up. Which it will.
