DeMarcus Cousins on Outside the Lines
For people that didn't feel like waking up at 6am. Great, great little segment...solidifies that John Thompson is one of the coolest guys in the world.

I wonder if the purple shirt he is wearing to the draft forecasting anything?

Wouldn't that be nice.

If you want to be your best, you have to do your best, otherwise you are only second rate.
I noticed that too!
Maybe it’s wishful thinking on his part. If I were Cousins, I would want to come to Sacramento.
He has a much better chance to become a franchise type guy in Sacramento than in NJ, Philly, or Washington, and he won’t get caught in the big man log jam in Minny or Nellie dysfunction in Oakland.
"The Kings have nothing to lose but their games."
Dysfunction days in Oakland will be over in a couple of months
Nellie is gone(if not this year next year for sure) and if Ellison buys the team be sure he will do everything to win it all and fast.
From that clip, the one thing that sticks out the most was....
when Calipari said he was the most unfinished product in the draft.
Thought that was interesting since people have been saying he is more
polished and skilled than Favors.

That was my biggest eyebrow raiser too
Debates on his potential continue. I think people are underrating him (a good thing if we get him).
His personality reminds me of Shaq. I think that’s a good thing.

Yeah I think he isn't as bad as people have said
Just wants to be respected. He would be a great fit here. I think he could be a fan favorite

Hopefully he has the same drive that shaq had.
Calipari’s comments about DMC no forgetting about the teams that pass him on draft day were reassuring. That kind of tenacity and chip-on-the-shoulder attitude is what will determine whether or not he will become a great NBA player. If he doesn’t have that, I could see him becoming a major bust.

Stop it!
Stop making me like this kid. I don’t want to care. I’ve been burned before.

wow
I was thinking of writing the exact same line this morning but was too lazy too type it out.
Men …
(of course I can’t really talk with my name)
Please note the 11 next to my name. All others are frauds.

Anybody else see his suit?
It’s a purple shirt underneath. I’m not saying that it’s a direct sign or anything, but didn’t Tyreke have a purple shirt on during last year’s draft?
I guess you didn't read the posts above yours.

He is the 2010 Rubio
Lots of questions about taking him being a good idea or not.
We love him (well, some of us do).
There is a chance he’s available at our pick, but a big chance he won’t be.
He fits a team need.
Voisin is droolng at him.
All this sound familiar? GP will pass on him and pick up a diamond in the rough.
Maybe.
Oh no!
Voisin IS drooling over him, isn’t she. Crap! I hadn’t thought about that. I was feeling good about liking this kid, and now there is a pit in my stomach. This is going to be a rough week.

Except he doesn't have buyout concerns
or a European team to fall back on

The Vertical
Looks like it’s 12-18 inches tops. It’s safe to say there will be no dunks from the foul line.
In college he could use his weight and relative strength to push kids out of the way and dunk or lay it in. Might get a little tougher at this level.
"I know we certainly gave up a lot to get him, but we do have other players on the perimeter who we can plug in. We haven’t had anybody who we feel is a go-to guy in the post. So we gave up a lot to get a lot, and we’re real excited about adding Carl." - Paul Westphal
?
Glen Davis doesn’t exactly jump out of the gym either, but he knows how to use his big body to clear space. Honestly, I’m even more sold on him after this piece. It definitely showed a side of him I haven’t seen. P.S. Monroe doesn’t jump out of the gym either, and he runs like his feet hurt!
That Cleveland Indians baseball cap makes me question DMC's passion for basketball.

Isn't today the day that he...
Works out against Favors for the Nets? Man I wish I could be a fly on the wall in that gym to see that. What do you guys think? DMC schools Favors with his more polished offensive game? Or does Favors athleticism rule the day? Will Cousins prove to the Nets that he can play the 4 rather than just the 5? Man I love draft time, New Jersey holds the damn cards right now with these two players, but as some of you have mentioned above… we might not even take either one even if they were available.
they are not going to be playing one on one
that only happened in philly
Phil Jackson, after treatment for a kidney stone "When the anesthesiologist leaned over me, he said "We named your kidney stone Kobe because it's not passing."
I like that Calipari dismisses the arguments they had
that the media was trying to hype up and is backing Cousins up 100%

Not to be cynical
But it would make him and his program look pretty good to have two players go in the top 5 this year.

The Kentucky Starting 5
Wall (projected at #1)
Bledsoe (projected at # 25)
Patterson (projected at # 12)
Orton (projected at # 18)
Cousins (projected at #5)
Coach Cal has his legacy set. No other team has had their starting 5 go in the first round.
