all I can say right now is that I am excited about this up coming season. on the real, I say that every summer, but THIS time i say we really have reason to say it. I have been a Kings fan since the first season way back when. in fact, I was on board before the Kings even got to town. a lil background for ya: when the Luckenbills (sp) first bought the kings but they had to play out the rest of season before moving, they chartered two buses for folks to go down to see the new team play against the Warriors in Oakland, my dad and I were on one of those buses. the tickets included a chance to go into the locker room and meet the team. I was a youngster of 7 or 8 and had my kings pennant (wish i still had it), and got to have all the players sign it. I think I came up to like their knees at best. It was so cool that I was hooked for life. even during the powder blue days, I rocked my Kings gear at school to all the ridicule one can imagine. But, I supported my team. once the Golden age of the Vlade/Webber teams started destroying the league, I was living in Africa studying music and had to follow my team via yahoo and the occational game blasted across the world ( although I knew we doing something big when I started seeing folks in Africa sporting Kings gear). Upon moving back to Sacramento, I was once again just in time for the slow dismantling death of the juggernaut. But, still I have/will remained true as I have watched a city of new frontrunners (where were you in the baby blue era) jump off the bandwagon; all good, I'm in it for the long haul and can/will wait it out
Finally last year the clouds began to break and the sun started shining ...a little bit. but now, I see the a team that is coming together that looks....simply put: awesome! This is a core that is built to win, not just win but demolish! I LOVE IT!
The folks that didn't have the patience and trust in GP, don't worry its all good, we saved you a seat on the bus and we won't even diss you for being gone so long.
