Because the Kings aren't A) enamored of Beasley or B) have too many guys who do what Beasley does already?
That could be it.

No mistakes in the tango, Donna. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
I'd agree with A
But I don’t think I’d be too worried about B, since I think Beasley still has the potential to be far better than these other guys.
It’s not like he’d be blocking all-star caliber players.

Not the point I'm making.
Although yours shouldn’t be overlooked, the Kings need an impact player defensively. Is that Beasley? No.

He's a better defender than anyone we currently have at that spot
I think it’s a pipe dream to expect Petrie to go out and find “impact” defensive players – that’s not really his thing.

That I definitely disagree with.

i still dont get why the nets wouldnt accept that
even if they didnt want beasley, some team would offer a 2nd round pick or at least something valuable for him to the nets, then they could trade him away right after

The Nets are trying to clear $7M off their own roster so they can sign 2 max FA's
the last thing their interested in is signing a head case who couldn’t get playing time during the playoffs for $5M next season.

You know what has never worked out for the Kings before?
Taking a talented PF with “attitude issues” from another team….
oh wait…
there is a difference between beasley and webber at that point in their careers
beasley has only played 2 years
webber had played 5 years
webber already has proven himself while beasley can hardly say that

This is very true
Webber was on his way to being a star. But I do think taking on Beasley could work in our favor. He’d come to a team where there’s no pressure other than to work his ass off. He’d get to develop right alongside other guys that are also developing their games. Add to that the high character guys the Kings already have and you have an environment that would be great for Beasley, IMO. Plus, Sac’s not a party destination like Miami.
Also, The Donte and Mike Show would be fantastic.

actually,
this deal is The heat sending cash to the nets for them to take Beasley. Dooling has a partially guaranteed contract, with a cheap buyout which the Nets are sure to exercise. If he got traded to the Heat, the heat would pay for the buyout. I think its more than the nets not wanting to take Beasley for nothing, because the nets are a few million away from being able to afford 2 max FAs.
This could be a Pat Riley Chess move: Give Beasley away for free, and that just about squashes all chances of the Nets being able to take 2 max players. That would mean there is 1 less possible destination for a Max free agent. With that, there would also be one less team that could offer 2 players the max, and if the big name free agents want to travel in pairs, then there is one less team out there that can offer 2 max contracts. Keep in mind, Miami can afford 2 max deals.
Essentially, this is Riley tryin

Wow, that's a really interesting take.

Rec'd for the seeing the chess move
Did not think about that at all. Well done

Well it's in Miami's best move to send us Beasley for nothing also
Because they are well aware by now that the FAs are clamoring to come to Sacramento. If they don’t want to lose CB4LBJDW3 to us, they better make a move.
Screw you Knicks! LBJ to the Kings!!!
