Melo may be available
I'd take him over Omri & Donte', but what's to say he wouldn't opt out when he gets here?

He's a Top-5 player in the league
and maybe even Top-3 when he plays well. IF Anthony can be had you go get him. He would be my number three at the FA draft if he was included:
LeBron, Bosh, Anthony, Wade is THE new order
No... Wade is an infinitely better defender...
That being said… Carmelo Anthony on the Kings?
Yes please.

He's not a top 5 player.
LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Durant, Paul, Bryant, Nowitzki, Dwight, Nash and Gasol are better.
Grandmaster of the "Never let AnotherStupidSN forget what a Sham-Wow is" Order and Originator of the "Brock Ness Monster".
I say he's top 7 of the young stars on your list
So for me it’d go Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Durant, CP3, Dwight, Melo
#vfettkefordraft
I'd rather have Gasol or Nash on my team.

He does seem like he quits on D sometimes
But in no way would i rather have 36 yr old Nash then 26 Melo.
Fuck Gasol
I’d love Nash on my team over a lot of guys. But that might have something to do with my eternal man crush

I’d be close to that list. Sadly I would have to put Bryant with Lebron & Wade. Durant and CP3 would be debatable. What has CP3 done lately to elevate himself above Melo. Durant I can see but still a bit of projection, and Chris Bosh are you guys kidding me . . . get his name off the list, he’s a Top 15 player at best.
Deron Williams is above CP3 to me also, so he's certainly on that list
Let us usher in the era of Reke DMC!
I disagree
I have Kobe, LeBron, ’Melo, Wade, then Dwight.
Then you can start talking about Durant, Nowitzki, Paul, Nash, Gasol, and Williams. Can’t forget about Duncan but he has lost a step.
Maybe a top 5 scorer WHEN he plays well.
Most of the time, he’s an oversized Allen Iverson on offense considering his efficiency.

As far as points for 2009 - 2010 offensive leaders:
1. Kevin Durant, OKC ———-30.1
2. LeBron James, CLE———29.7
3. Carmelo Anthony, DEN——28.2
4. Kobe Bryant, LAL -————27.0
5. Dwyane Wade, MIA ———-26.6
I would be happy to add Carmelo to the team.
If you want to be your best, you have to do your best, otherwise you are only second rate.
I do not understand all of the Carmelo-hate
He is a prolific scorer and not a black-hole of D either. Looks like it’s only you and me for Carmelo SD.
I don’t get it either. He is basically Team USA’s best player in international basketball. He’s not a black hole at all. He has sometimes been criticized for not getting enough rebounds.
You would think that someone his size
Would rebound the basketball a bit better, but I’ll take it. He’s not too bad on the offensive glass but his defensive boards could be improved.
Withour future front line? No worries.

I <3 Melo also
Dude is just dynamic as hell. and Clutch on top of that
Let us usher in the era of Reke DMC!
Not going to happen
Hey! What're you kicking me for? You want me to ask? All right, I'll ask! Ma'am, where do the high school girls hang out in this town?
I didn't even read the article but
If you can get Melo without giving up Tyreke or Cousins you do it. They can have anyone else & our unprotected #1 for the next 5 drafts. Take back salary or whatever get it done

So he can leave next year and leave our franchise decimated?
Good plan
Then the X-Files being, looking like some kind of blue-green Jackie Chan with Isabella Rossellini lips and breath that reeked of vanilla Chig Champa,
did a slow-mo Matrix descent out of the butt end of the banana vessel and hovered above my bug-eyes, my gaping jaw, and my sweaty L. Ron Hubbard upper lip and all I could think was: "I hope Uncle Martin here doesn't notice that I pissed my f***in' pants."
I didn't say everyone else I said anyone else
Sorry I don’t see how losing Omri Casspi or Carl Landry leaves or team decimated.
If you mean draft picks I have stated I don’t see us in the top 10 anymore after this season. Especially with Melo on the squad next season. I would risk losing anyone on the roster not named Cousins or Evans for the best shot at landing Melo for the long term.
With all the teams looking to blow money this season & the CBA about to change dramaticly having cap space, Carmelo in hand, 2 young stars(Cousins & Tyreke) & hopefully a playoff birth this season gives us a great chance at keeping him long term.
If you have a better plan please share.

I don't need to come up with a plan to refute your idea
our unprotected #1 for the next 5 drafts
If Carmelo is traded it’s because he doesn’t want to sign an extension, which means he wants to test out the FA waters, which meanswe would be likely to lose him, meaning we have given up multiple draft picks(lottery or not) for a Melo rental. If that doesn’t qualify as decimating your team’s future I don’t know what does. I’m not really sure why I’m even arguing such a silly proposition

Realisticly we can't give up our next 5 picks
It would have to be every other seasons. I would hope our 2013 pick would be a very very low pick. It’s called an exaggeration.
This is most likely BS anyway. Melo has given no indication he wants to leave Denver. Testing the free agent waters? Now that is a silly proposition. Why would he bypass millions & millions of dollars, to test the waters, in a brand new climate that will heavily favor the owners? When he could get a max deal in a player favorable climate now?
If he doesn’t sign an extension & gets traded it’s because Denver doesn’t feel he’s worth it. Plain & simple.
Oh yeah we could trade for him with an agreement to a contract extension. Similar to the trade that brought Shaq to Miami & KG to Boston.

Read the article
The only reason he’s on the block is because he may not sign an extension and Denver doesn’t want to lose him for nothing.

I think...
we would be a mainstay in the top 5 in the playoffs with a line up of…..Beno, Evans, Melo, Cousins, Daly. Eventually one day Beno, Evans, Melo, Whiteside/Thompson, Cousins.
This is where having a guy like Kevin Martin would have really helped us
I seriously seriously doubt the Nuggs would give up Melo for cap space alone. While Martin is no where near as good as Melo he does cost 1/2 as much & you could replace 25 of Melo’s 28 points per game with a Kevin Martin.
Of course even this would be a longshot but all we have to offer now is cap space without giving up Reke or Cousins.
I love beating dead horses.

they need big men too
Landry might work next to Nene. JT would be tradeable to me too.
