Woj: Childress, Miller Contracts Will Exceed MLE
"The biggest winner today? It could be restricted free agent Josh Childress, who knows Atlanta will never match with a new Joe Johnson deal." - Adrian Wojnarowski
"If elite small forwards keep re-signing with their teams, Childress could make a triumphant return from Greece in a $40 million contract." - Wojnarowski
"Mike Miller promises to benefit too. He will get a deal exceeding the mid-level exception -- perhaps $35 to $40 million too." - Wojnarowski

This
is my opinion as well. Methinks Ime Udoka is looking better by the hour.

Till the Timberwolves realize he's a small forward and offer him 4 years 20 million.

What would we even talk about if we didn't have Kahn to kick around?
Part of me hopes that the Wolves never figure out to can him, just for the entertainment factor. And in hopes that he always drafts ahead of us.

Everybody's getting overpaid
If the Kings want to sign anybody in this FA class it will cost them, period. That’s why I’m so for Childress or Redick. They’ll get overpaid, but they won’t be max contracts.

We need to keep our powder dry
Wait until all the crazy money is finished being thrown around and see who’s left. At some point the money will completely dry up and there may be a bargain.
I just don’t think we have any urgency, it’s still a re-build and development season, and a lock-out may be coming.

agreed
After this draft, there is zero urgency for the kings to grab a free agent this year.
Childress then flew to Greece and asked the team if they would pay him in gold bars, hookiers, weed, and marijuana. The rest is history.

I agree
the draft was HUGE for us, no pun intended. We can now sit back and know that our team for this year is 90% complete. There should be no rush to add the extra 10%

I think
this summer will have a LOT of guys getting overpaid. I liken it to Maggette and the Warriors. The Warriors were trying to a lot of people and had the money, but had to basically pay Maggette cause he was the best available. I think we’ll see that this year.
and I wouldn’t mind at all if they just re-signed Udoka. But I’d still love to get another shooter.
If someone gives Miller the MLE
they sure haven’t been watching the decline of his game very closely.
