I heard this this morning
My favorite part:
(after discussion of the Webb-Kahn interview)
Whitey: A texter says that C-Webb could beat Darko one-on-one right now; Jerry, what do you think?
JR: Well, I’d agree with that. And honestly, I don’t think Chris would even have to take off his street shoes.

Oh, God!
… I’m in tears. I got a feeling, Jerry thinks Khan has no business running a NBA franchise.
Summer league...makes me feel fine...

I guess I just have a reasonably encyclopedic knowledge of music.

takes one to recognize one
I remember the excitement of putting my first 8 track in my truck.
"I make love to pressure" - Stephen Jackson
Not bad
But did any of you yahoos have a DUAL 8-track player, with the ability to make “mix” 8-tracks? DIDN’T THINK SO!
/puffs out chest
Indeed. I'm still more of a fan of the wire.

“That will teach you to give a fuck when it ain’t your turn to give a fuck.”

The end of your title sounds like part of "the load out."
here’s the rest:
We’ve got disco in 8 tracks and cassettes in stereo
We’ve got rural scenes & magazines
We’ve got truckers on the CB
We’ve got Richard Pryor on the video
We got time to think of the ones we love
While the miles roll away
But the only time that seems too short
Is the time that we get to play
People you’ve got the power over what we do
You can sit there and wait
Or you can pull us through
Come along, sing the song
You know you can’t go wrong’
Cause when that morning sun comes beating down
You’re going to wake up in your town
But we’ll be scheduled to appear
A thousand miles away from here
People stay just a little bit longer
We want to play — just a little bit longer
Now the promoter don’t mind
And the union don’t mindIf we take a little time
And we leave it all behind and sing
One more song…
Pookey would be proud. Sigh..slap face
"......but Curry had a better TS%"
Back when JB was good
That was pretty much his swan song. Lawyers in love was his venture into popular trends and he never recovered.

I wouldnt mind to see the Kings make a trade for Aminu before he reaches his potential.
He is a good all around player that looks like he will be special. Maybe they could use Garcia or Greene.
I know I'VE certainly been impressed by his 25% shooting thus far in summer league

rec'ing a "THIS!!!" post
is so meta it hurts
Childress then flew to Greece and asked the team if they would pay him in gold bars, hookiers, weed, and marijuana. The rest is history.

I might rec it if I knew what meta means
I guess I’ll have to wait for ElRon or bte explains it too me.

Love Jerry and Cousins....and no, no, no, no, no, no, no to Morrison.
JR is the best because he is so honest and so very knowledgeable. When he says a player is great, or gonna’ be, they almost certainly are, or will be (Cousins).
anyone watching Wash/Dallas?
Jeremy Lin is a nice back up PG. Very good grasp of the game.

Another great Kahn quote... maybe the second best
I end this with a nice little question from an interview he did with the Biz of Basketball. For some reason, I worry about the Timberwolves if Kahn ends up being their final choice.
Bizball: During your time as GM of the Pacers, who was the best player you felt you acquired, either through trades, or the draft?
Kahn: I was most proud of draft-night deals I engineered for Jeff Foster and Jamaal Tinsley, two players who remain with the team today nnot because they were our best players but because of the pressure surrounding both deals.
This is a passage from this article:
http://www.ridiculousupside.com/2009/4/27/855549/david-kahn-former-d-league-owner
The author is Fuc*ing Nostradamus with his premonition
If the Lakers were on channel 5 and there were a bunch of frogs making love on channel 6, I'd watch the frogs even if they were coming in fuzzy!

Oh I definitely remember this article

So Kahn is basically the guy in the fantasy draft who blows his first five picks but reaches successfully for a few diamonds in the rough in the middle rounds and now you get to hear about it constantly throughout the season while his team borderline sucks.
