Kings vs. Bulls, Summer League Game 5

The Kings have their penultimate Vegas Summer League game against the Bulls, tipping off at 5:30 PM PT. DeMarcus Cousins certainly hopes to have a better start than in Friday's game against the Raptors, and the others all look to finish VSL on a strong note.

I like him or RT for a SG spot on the roster

Also like Rice or Downey (kind of hope Sloan either shows more in preseason, or doesn’t have a guarenteed contract and sign both these guys) (However now saying that in paraphrase I just thought of the fact they are kind of similar and one or the other with Sloan would be ok)

Sloan has still done nothing that warrants him having a contract already. Whiteside is very, very, soft when it comes to rebounding or catching in traffic, but damn he can block some shots. More Rice at point please. I know winning is not the the most important thing in SL, but put Casspi and Donte in the game together, so we can get back in this thing.

And lets not even pretend he had a bad summer league

Cousins has looked very good. Everything now is fatigue. Can’t back guys down as wel iff you’re tired, can’t rebound, can’t shoot as well, your hooks are short, you’re easier to back down…

Cousins is a guy with conditioning issues playing his fifth game in six nights. Lets be realistic, he’s not inhuman

Lol

People can only process what they see in the moment. Hence, Cousins was the best big man since Duncan 3 days ago and now is garbage ;)

I agree with you, he’ll be fine. He’s tired and getting all the attention of the D – zones, double teams, etc. Because of that he’s drifting and forcing, but what do you expect from a 19 year old rookie.

It’s something he has to play through.

He’s never going to have to play heavy minutes 5 games in 6 nights.

It's a faster and stonger pace in the NBA

He will get really tired too

Exactly.

There’s no reason to say he’s not going to play 5 games in 6 nights (which is true) when the talent he’ll be facing will be far more significant.

Also, I noticed during a couple of his threes in the second half, I heard someone yelling "Three!" a few seconds before Omri fired one off.

Sounded like it might have been coming from the Kings’ bench’s general direction, which leads me to believe that Elie could have been the one I heard. Omri’s postgame interview helped solidify my theory, too.
