Word up in Seattle is that Brockman has been traded to the Bucks. Any news outlets down there reporting anything? http://twitter.com/Softykjr

Don't you see the fucking question mark?

I don’t have a source. That’s what I’m asking for here.

by ericande on Jul 18, 2010 11:48 PM PDT up reply actions

Okay homeskillet.

When you post something like this, the point is to have a source. Otherwise, it’s just simply conjecture. When you post a fanshot like this, it leads folks to assume that Jon Brockman has been possibly traded.

Asking a question about whether he’s been traded without any news of such is counter-productive. Get it? Hopefully.

Very poor form Eric.

First up, you brought the news here so do your own research. If someone here had already got this information from a verified or solid source, it would be here. Don’t get all snippy, dropping the f-bomb when you are the one passing an unsubstantiated rumor.

Truth is, on talent alone, and nothing else, I’d rank DMC 1st.

I don’t know where Sacramento news gets posted first and Brockman isn’t a big enough name to have it be on yahoo or espn first.

The point is link to your source.

If you had seen it on Twitter, and I’ve seen on twitter here, that would have been acceptable. Twitter is totally used as sources all the time around here.

that’d be a nice, nice trade. We could swap 2nd round picks to sweeten the pot too. i think that’d be fair

Brockman's min qualifying offer means they could offer him a $1M offer sheet and the Kings would match it

So, since Brockman hasn’t excepted the offer the Kings could withdraw it. They don’t have to offer cash to move him or picks and neither do the Bucks.

Well it could be a sign & trade thing.

Nessie signs with the Kings for multiple years & is trade to the Bucks. That’s totally legal.

First off, no source

Second off, why would the Bucks want another Power Forward to be on the end of their bench?

Why a trade? Brock is a rfa, but if the bucks offer him more than than Kings, the Kings won't match

The only one on the Bucks that the Kings might be able to get is Delfino. So, would the Kings want Delfino, and would do a sign and trade with Brockman to get him.

CDR might be the player the Kings want in a trade if they move Nessie.

Milwaukee is way under the cap. So, they don't need to trade to get Brockman.

That’s why I asked why trade? The only real reason I can think of is to move salary. And, CDR makes the same salary as Brockman, so why do they want to get rid of CDR?

Delfino on the other hand makes $3.5M this year and next, although only $500K of next years is guaranteed.

Don't really want Delfino. But yeah Milwaukee isn't really under the cap though.

Not technically.

That was a thought I had but he's a good young player with a cheap contract

Delfino took 5 threes per game last season and has a career FG% of 41% and 36% from three, so I think he’s more in line with the quality of player a team might give up for Brockman.

He’s a good size SG 6-6 230 lbs, averaged over 5 rebs, 2.7 asts and 1.1 steals last season. Not an top level SG, but sound with the size to play along side Evans.

As far as I knew the Bucks loved Delfino

Couldn’t see Milwaukee making that move. Cash and a 2nd-rounder seems much more likely IMO.

If this is true they must be impressed with whiteside as well as trying to clear space for more guards maybe I doubt this is true why trade for him when you can sign high and know kings wont match i hope its cdr thatd be great

Kings always have a brockman type

Player that hustles all over the floor and everyone loves (jberry bjax funderburke etc) we always get upset and wonder why we let them go but then the next season we get someone else and movement. Whiteside will make hopefully help us all move on it’s more that he had the nickname brockness monster so let’s just think of a catchphrase for whiteside and move forward….assuming that all these sources are reliable about him leaving bc my 3 yr old just said he is going to the miners next year but not sure of the reliabilty of her source that told her

Hopefully he's as well liked in Milwaukee as he was in Sacramento

No more Huskies on the Kings, I guess no more reason to watch the team until they move them up to Seattle.
