Barnes signs with Toronto
Was he out of our price range, or just not a good fit?
Being on a contender obviously wasn't an issue with him.

Obviously winning was no longer a priority
I think he was out of Petrie’s (and my) price range, maybe not that of some Kings fans.

Like Barnes
but we shouldn’t be spending $5 million on another swingman unless he’s the perfect long-term fit
Im startin 2 think the same thing....
But we still need 1 or 2 more signings in the back-court to have some depth.
PG- Reke, Beno, (Sloan)
SG- Garcia
KINGS WILL BE 10-11 CHAMPIONS
only lacking emergency depth, though
Reke/Cisco/Beno will eat up a lot, if not all, the 96 guard rotation minutes on most nights.
I have read that Toronto has made a handfull of mistakes...
They should have done a sign and trade with Denver for Klieza, using a trade exemption and that move would have allowed them to retain their MLE. They basically have negotiated with Barnes under the false pretense of having cap space and they are now claiming a mistake in their calculations which most of the NBA writers already had pegged as an issue. This is going to get strange and it’s too bad for Barnes.
The world is not your Trade Machine.

Yeah
Apparently it hit a “financial snag”

And now the sign and trade scenario is apparently dead
