Udrih Leaves Slovenian National Team Ahead of Worlds
Minus one team to watch.
TZ Note: He was apparently dissatisfied with the role the team's coach laid out for him. Which likely means the coach planned to start Goran Dragic over Beno. Wabeno don't play that!

Goran Dragic! Boo!
They obviously haven’t seen the Yeti in Slovenia.

I'm sorry to see him leave.
If you want to be your best, you have to do your best, otherwise you are only second rate.
Good news
A healthy and rested Beno for the season.

I'll admit I know nothing about the team
But I think it makes sense for Dragic to start over Beno. That dude came into his own during the playoffs and is fun as hell to watch. He would have won them the WCF if Gentry hadn’t pulled him
However, I don’t think it’d be too hard to figure out that a starting back court of Udrih and Dragic would be fun as shit to watch and pretty effective. Not sure what other guards they have but seeing as how both these guys actually play in the NBA it makes sense for them to start.

Dragic isn't starting.
Jaka Lakovic will be the starting PG.

I'm not going to pretend I follow the Slovenian national team closely either.
I just looked this up.

Lakovic is a Euroleague reigning champion, playing for Barcelona
alongside Rubio. He’s a 32 year old veteran, has played in some of the best teams in Europe the past decade and definitely has a much better feel of the FIBA basketball game/rules than Beno, Dragic or Vujacic. He’s probably worse than all of them, but he’s a player who’s always been around that kind of basketball .
NBA players in Europe are kind of “forgotten”, like they are on vacations on the moon.
Beno: Go Slovenia!
I love my country…. but not if I don’t start.
I admit surprise and some amusement. The NBA game comes with the NBA ego.
Of course, I don’t know the circumstances, and I am glad he will be rested for the Kings but this has to raise the eyebrows a bit.

Don't forget
Sasha vujacic didn’t even make the team last time around. Guess they didn’t need a greasy looking rat then and wont get an Ethan hawk look alike now

lets just hope this starts the fued like the one between sasha and Dragic
only now it will be between wabeno and Dragic which is better since Dragic and Beno actually play meaningful minutes and are good.
Still waiting for the Euler of basketball to play for the Kings
