Kahn Considering Signing Lee to Fill T-Wolves' Void at PF

I love how there's not one mention of the fact that the T-Wolves already have Al Jefferson on board. It's as if Yahoo! Sports is slowing creeping into Kahn's alternate universe.

The natural explanation is because they have to pick one of Love/Jefferson because they can't play together.

I understand Morey uses his stats genius and scouts to bypass his lack of basketball knowledge but Kahn . . . what does he use? A dartboard?
He makes even Bill Simmons look qualified.

Here is why:

Lee spent all of Saturday in Minnesota and, according to the New York Post, the Knicks have received sign-and-trade offers of Al Jefferson from the ’Wolves and Monta Ellis from the Warriors.

And it looks like Amare is going to Knicks

So,

if NY and Min make this deal, AJ plays with Amare and Lee with Love? (Scratches head) The NY-GS deal makes more sense, with Ellis joining Amare and Lee instantly becoming the Dubs’ best frontline player.

they have more interest in Lee than they do Jefferson. GSOM

Also according to this article from GSOM the orignal deel was Ellis to the Knicks, Lee to the Wolves, and AJ to the Dubs. So Knicks would get a pairing of Ellis and Amare, the Dubs would of gotten a low post pressence (who isn’t built like a twig) and he would look nice next to Udoh allowing the young guy to just do what he does best which is defend. The Wolves, well they get rid of AJ which is a goal of theres, but for another 20-10 PF who isn’t a great low post defender….sounds like Love and AJ pairing all over again, just Lee gets up and down the floor better.

All that said the Dubs would rather have Lee and are trying to cut out the Wolves and a do a straight sign and trade of Lee for Ellis.

Actually the Dubs may have to include Wright or AR in this deal too

Monta makes $11 mill, Lee’s contract will probably make a couple more than that. The Dubs are about 6 mill under the cap but may not want to burn that up on this deal, pluse adding one of those guys will clear up a log jam of the Skeleton Army.
