I am liking the prospects for this coming season. Of course, depending on who we sign and barring injuries, this year will definitely have its ups and downs. Where do you guys see the Kings finishing in the Pacific? Western Conference? Overall Record?
Pacific: Kings finish 2nd
Behind the Lakers, along with the rising Clippers and Warriors, this year may be tougher all-around than last year. The only team I think that has become weaker so far is the Suns. I know this is wishful thinking, but I think the Kings have a great chance of finishing second in the Pacific. The Lakers will obviously finish first, but the rest of the field is wide open.
Western Conference: Kings finish 9th
I have this gut feeling that given our dramatic turn around in the post, the Kings will be able to dominate the inside-outside game a lot easier. With Reke's improved (hopefully) shooting and the strong chance we get a shooter like Morrow or Mike Miller, I really hope the Kings can be this year's Thunder. If Cousins can hustle and dominate like his God-given talent has allowed him to thus far, I believe the Kings will make a huge jump in terms of wins.
Overall Record: 41-41
A +16 win turn around might sound like wishful thinking... that's because it is.
So, in reviewing what I've written, I don't know if this was my prediction or my deepest hope for this coming season, but either way I don't think it's impossible. As Aristole once said, "Probable impossibilities are to be preferred to improbable possibilities."
