Awesome! I didn't get to see the last one posted up
Thanks!

What I think about this video and the last:
Compared to Rose and Gay, Tyreke doesn’t look outstanding to me. He seems slower, doesn’t have the the ridiculous hops or ball control, his jump shot is inconsistent…and yet we know that in-game he’s remarkable. It’s been hard to get away from LeBron and Wade highlights recently, in which their ridiculous explosiveness is always on display and their athleticism is clearly of the highest order. ‘Reke never seems be going that fast but you know that he is- he’ll have gone from stationary on the perimiter to the basket, absorbed a hit, made a layup, and lope back down court with his intense, sleepy look, all before it seems like the other team knows what happened.
He special, and we get to watch him. It’s just really neat.
Mayo
OJ Mayo is the other guy, not Rudy Gay.
Tyreke plays in his own speed and pace.
It may look easy to stop but in reality, it is not. Great players have this exact thing. They play in their own wavelength.
Rebuilding the Kings.
Agree with this.

I thought the same thing. This is an interesting and talented group of guards. From what I saw, I would rank them Rose, Mayo, and then Tyreke. Rose, in particular, looks more fluid and polished. We do have to remember that both Rose and Mayo have one more season of NBA experience to hone their skills and Tyreke is a bigger guard, both in his height and weight. Great experience for Tyreke to train with these two guys.
If you want to be your best, you have to do your best, otherwise you are only second rate.
After watching this video
I concur with what you said, but the biggest thing standing out to me is Tyreke’s size: the guy is still a grown ass man in comparison to Rose and Mayo, and these guys are bigger sized guards as well.

Go Kings!
I wonder who does his eyelashes, or if he does them himself?
They’re so pretty
Tyreke's jumper.
It doesn’t look much different, though the trajectory of the ball looks less like it will interfere with air traffic.
Poor form, kicking his leg out and falling away on that corner jumper. Brake that habit son.

and got to the free throw line as a result. Alas, they have changed that rule. Sorry, ’Reke.

Yea, the refs aren't giving that to the shooter any more.

yea, in due time hopefully
Who was the guy that Tony Parker worked with over a summer to destroy his form and build it back up again? It was this very famous shooting coach. Someone help me out. Anyways, my point is Reke should do the same. Completely destroy the current form and build it back up.
Let us usher in the era of Reke DMC!
I thought it looked better
It didn’t look much different than Mayo’s
I don’t really know anything when it comes to stuff like that so I’ll take you’re word for it. Is it not something he should be working on while he is there? Or does it just take longer than a month or whatever to break habits you’ve had for years?
I love beating dead horses.
Yeah. He starts the ball near his forehead now not behind his head like he used to.
But as HT pointed out the fall-away bit it not good.

Everything but the finish looks good
He still fades away a bit, which is not cool. His hand is so low at the end of his shooting stroke, it almost looks more like a throw than a jump shot. Compare it to the form of Rose and Mayo, where their hand finishes high at the end of their stroke. The fadeaway as well as how low he finishes his shooting stroke seem to be the reasons why it seems like his shooting stroke is so slow.
Evans might just benefit from completely revamping his shooting form. He has the time. Get on it son.

What if he starts hitting it regularly with poor form?
Would it matter? There are some players with ugly form who are lights out. Kevin Martin comes to mind of course. Or do you think he will never hit a jumper cosistently with this form?

Sorry about that: Ugliest shooting form for a top 20 scorer (in a season, not all time)
Tim Hardaway is first for me his form was downright fugly ( and he did have an 0-17 shooting performance one game). KMart might be second.

Reggie Miller's release was terrible.

Well of course you want the proper mechanics
The proper jump shot which allows the best chance of allowing the ball to hit the bottom of the net, even when tired. A higher release point will allow more arc, which then allows a higher percentage in making a shot and a softer landing to possibly roll in (shooters touch, you may call it).
If he starts hitting it regularly with his current form, I guess I’d be okay with it. But if he’s playing big minutes and he gets tired, his form will deteriorate to a really low release point, which may just hit nothing but front rim.
So I would still rather have him practice shooting at a higher release point; if he gets tired, his release point may not be as low and he would still have a good chance of making the shot because of the arc.

Yeah, it looked like he was launching something from a catapult
…that or Mitch Richmond’s shot.
…and right after looking at a Youtube of Richmond, I realize that Tyreke and Mitch’s games look pretty similar.

Was that tyreke in that video, or was it Cole Aldrich?
Over summer I have forgotten how funky Tyreke’s shot was. Keep working at it ’Reke!
"The Kings have nothing to lose but their games."
His mechanics is a bit different. His shot is more traditional in a sense.
He does not have the minor “catapult sling” shot effect anymore. It’s more closer to his face/forehead now. Which is good. He still have the tendency to fade a bit but in that specific situation: The “dribble dribble step back” shot, I wouldn’t mind fading on his shot. Most players do fade away in that specific situation. I would be more concerned if he fades on his stand still jumpers.
