Sporcle Sunday: Sacramento Kings Top Scorers
In order to further the knowledge of Sacramento Kings history (and to make section214 feel like the genius he is), we're going to give you a Kings-related Sporcle quiz (almost) every Sunday. Each quiz will have a different Kings-related question. Try to ace it. If you don't, no worries. There's no point to cheating. You get no ZillerBucks for getting them all right.

And by the way
I like this feature. Should be fun.

Agreed.
I always love Sporcle quizzes, so Kings ones should be fun.

A nice big one could be to name every Kings Draft Pick

I think we can all agree that Webber was the greatest scorer in Kings history.
Oh, you mean POINTS…

21/25
Before Mitch, I know almost nothing. Not that that’s terribly different from the current state of affairs.
I missed 85, 88, and 90. The first two I feel like I should have got, but I didn't even get close on '90.

I got all 25 in less than a minute. (Sporcle makes it ridiculously easy though in my defense.)

I only entered 1 wrong name total. (Although I thought Tizzy would have more than he did if I was to guess.)
But, I originally thought it was total points and not PPG too.

I just created a Triple Double list
A couple players surprised me. The Kings have only had 12 players who have had triple doubles.

That doesn't surprise me.
Can I try the list?

Forgot about legendary bass man Wayman Tisdale.

well...I'm going to claim 24-25
but I have to admit that I looked up the correct spelling of Peja’s last name after 3 failed attempts
I look up spelling.
I just looked up Sarunas Marciulionis correct spelling because I always get it wrong.

I was only 10 when I first started watching Mitch. But I should have known Ainge. He was my brother’s fav.

Got 'em all
I did put in Derek Smith before Eddie Johnson for ‘85-’86 (dumb), and Carr was the last one that I got to fill in the board.
I should mention that I am old and really have no life, which is a devastating advantage when it comes to this type of quiz.

Got them all but thanks to the method
I just kept naming players (McCray, Kelley, Sampson, Smith, Thorpe, whatever came to mind and eventually got the tough year (I was convinced it was L-the Train) with literally 0:01 on the clock.
Fun stuff. Thanks TZ.

i missed everyone before Richmond except for Theus
gotta say, this was fairly easy when there’s been a whole six top scorers on the Kings in the past 20 years
me too

Through a combination of knowing and guessing every Kings player I know,
I got 23/25. Missed out 88-89 and 90-91.
Got me thinking though about our young team… and who would be the top scorer for the Kings in the next five years.
This.
I'm about 90% sure its going to be Tyreke Evans.
But thats just me.

I don't think DeMarcus will be ready to shoulder the scoring load
for another couple years. But yes, I could see that as well.
Author of the Pick and Scroll. Follow me on Twitter here.
Yeah, I was presupposing a lot in order to make that statement.
But it just seems to me that it’s easier for big men to have consistent scoring than it is for guards. And it’s keeping those averages high that wins it. And assuming that Demarcus develops into the Kings legit starting big man, seems he would be in prime position to take a large scoring role, especially considering he’s the only new-look-King to be drafted that had the words “polished” and “offense” written in the same sentence.

Who was trying to recall the kings from the 80’s that Section mentioned in his glorious time travel recaps? Thanks for the assistance 214

100% for me
Carr was the last one I got. Although, the only one I was wrong about was that I was sure Artest had led us in scoring for one season. Bibby was my second guess for 05-06.
Got most of em done in under a min
took me a while to try and spell 2003-04’s name and spent the last 4 min trying to figure out what were the names from 1988-89, 1989-90, 1990-91. im surprised i got the first ones right since i started following the kings in 2004
