Are you ready for some STR Fantasy Football?!

Alright! Right about two weeks until the beginning of football season, looks like a good time to gauge interest in a STR Fantasy Football league!

I'm more than willing to commish one league on yahoo, but I can't do more leagues (I have to save a spot for a basketball league in October). If there is enough interest, I could either commish another league on ESPN, or someone else can spearhead another league on yahoo.

Details are flexible. I'm assuming most people will want a live draft, but if the people want an auction? The people shall have an auction. By the Kings' fans, for the Kings' fans!

Once I get at least 10 people to commit, I'll post the league ID and password to join.

***Edit: If we get 10 people to vote for a particular day, that's when I will open up the league.

Don't worry... That's coming up soon. I just like to get a ways into the preseason so that people can have an educated opinion on rookies and sophmores.

Are you going to be making a post about an STR NBA fantasy league?

Because I am definitely interested in that, though I think it’s more fun to draft earlier so that there’s an element of mystery about the rooks.

I know I am going to post a fanpost about one

I want to set up a head to head league where there are only 8 stats (removing turnovers because negative stats suck) but I am counting scoring as 2 (thus it comes back to 9, essentially making scoring the tie breaker). I always do real well with the basic head to head set-up because it’s so easy to abuse the system and avoid scoring but this way I can’t do that. Plus, negative stats suck and considering the goal in a game is to score more points than your opponent this could be fun.

Because talent? You want to add a guy like boozer because hes talented? I’m sorry i just don’t see that as a valid reason. -- fffindeed

My H2H is points based, not category. With BLK/STL +3, a bonus +8 for DD or +15 for TD.
I found out too late that big men dominate. Rebounding dominates.

And if you make a league on yahoo,

Can you make it 2 WRs, 2 RBs, and 1 flex?
Because I really hate yahoo’s default of 3 WRs and 2 RBs.

I might interested depending on the day and what the scoring configurations are. I’d also like to second the recommendation for yahoo I like their interface a lot better then ESPN and NFL.com
