Sporcle Sunday: Triple Doubles

There have been 34 triple doubles by Kings players since 1986-87. Do you know which Kings earned them?

Sacramento Kings Triple Doubles >>

Note that the quiz timeline begins in 1986-87 -- that's as far back as Basketball-Reference.com goes in its game data search. I am completely unaware as to whether a King or two recorded a 1985-86 10x3.

One of the players on this list will blow your mind.

But wow. Wow.

One of the players on this list will blow your mind.

Yeah.

When discussing two opposing point of views, the truth often lies somewhere in the middle.

I was very bad on that one . . .

HE had a triple double, really? I do not remember that . . .

I remember it.

I can’t believe I forget to type his name for the quiz though.

I remember that game too

He also kicked Luke Waltons ass in overtime. I belive Bibby had 40 and Bryant had 50. Crazy game on TNT

wow, I missed two

one I should have gotten but the other…

yeah what TZ (and ExG) said. I like that this was a shorter list and the 3 minute limit made it more of a challenge. I typed one in as time expired and with extra time would have eventually got another. Even with time to pause… I would not get that last one.

I got the one that would blow your mind because that was bisacially a hint for me.

I got 9/12

What did "he" get the triple/double for?

Minutes sat, money stolen, and dog biscuits eaten?

10/12.

11/12 for me

Missed out Chin Beard.

Got the “blow your mind one” right on the first try using that as a hint.

Wow...

I knew K9 had one, and the hint helped. Forgot about Beno and Salmons. And McCray, Simmons, and Ainge are before my time as a Kings’ fan. So… 7/12

by vfettke on Sep 26, 2010 1:35 PM PDT reply actions

I missed two of those

7 of 12.

But I should have gotten all 12. Such is life I suppose.

Fun Fact

Only 2 triple doubles were achieved against a LeBron-led Cavaliers team. The 1st was Mike Bibby and the other was Beno Udrih.

nice quiz - tougher than the last one

Surprised Turk never got one. He had the skill set for a triple double. Guess he didn’t play as much back then.

Good call

He has two career triple doubles, both late in the 2007-08 season.

Triple Doubles

9/12.

Good trivia. Sorry if this blows it for anyone who hasn’t taken it yet, but I’m 100% certain Billy Owens had a triple double for the Kings in 1996-97 or 1997-98.
