Amid the team's struggles is the constant speculation that coach Westphal is on the hot seat if the team's performance doesn't improve significantly over the remainder of the season. Westphal has compiled a less than stellar 34-87 mark at the helm and with the club near the bottom of the league in multiple categories has started to draw the ire of Kings fans. Yet Udrih was adamant that early rumors of the locker room tuning out Westphal were false and more fueled by the media than anything else. He also believes that the majority of players on the squad still have the coach's back. "That was just the media trying to put out rumors that were false," said Udrih to HOOPSWORLD. "We were all fine but like I've been saying we're a young team. Sometimes the reactions of the players are not what they should be, but that's (not having) enough experience on how to act. But coach always had everything under control, so I don't know what the media was talking about."
