Kahn really needs to stay away from microphones at all times.

By the way, wondering how Ziller’s bet with Henry Abbott about Shaq and Darko is doing. What was the bet again?

I t hink it's just who has the better season.

I don’t think there is anything else to it.

I think it was who contributed more to their team.

They're 9-26, we're 7-24.

Sorry, I think there ought to be a moratorium on this meme while they have a better record than we do.

I’m sure the 2002 Lakers title rings are deeply devalued by how much we hate Robert Horry.

It's good for a quick laugh I suppose although not a whole lot of substance to it.

I wish we could cut down on the Kahn jokes.

But apparently, it’s too easy for many to do.

We would have a better record than them right now easy if

We had signed Luke Ridnour & we had traded for Michael Beasely. Two pretty smart moves that didn’t hurt them as far as money goes. I will give him credit over Petrie for that. Although Petrie probably didn’t figure Landry’s numbers would plummett.

We would also have a better record imo had Westphal gone with the line-up & rotation he is going with now from the start. I’m not saying a whole lot better but atleast a few games.

So would you accept this team at 9-22 with that lineup the whole team?

You wouldn’t be twitchy about seeing other guys start? ( I’ll believe that when I see it play out in both realities with everyone aware that both realities exist. Good luck.)

it's actually kind of weird

it’s like a mix of “grass is always greener” with a dab of homerism somehow creating a weird mix of “they suck” and “we should have done that and things would be a-okay.”

Yeah, wouldn't hurt to have a talent like Jefferson to trade away for picks, either.

That roster wasn't really that talented to begin with.

It was poorly put together and Kahn inherited it. Not saying Kahn is perfect because he’s not.

Most would say Kevin Martin was worth picks.

Instead we got Landry, who isn’t worth any picks.

I understand what you're saying

but for me it’s not just about a few more wins at this point in the season. It’s more about the team possibly starting to gel right now & finishing strong with a better record. Also I feel we would have atleast beatin a few of the terrible teams we lost to AT HOME. Could those wins have boosted confidence & led to more wins? Maybe, maybe not but I know for sure losing to those teams hurt everyone in the locker room. So if the team starts really jelling 10 games from now with this set rotation it could have happened 10 games ago. Then imagine the difference in record & confidence.

Obviously neither one of us really know what would of happened. Anyways this is kind of a tired argument now so my bad for opening it back up. Whatever happened or didn’t happen it doesn’t really matter now.

I'm a big believer in karma and "things happen for a reason".

Maybe there is a silver lining out of all of this that we just can’t see yet.

I believe in karma & "everything happens for a reason"

When things eventually go well but when things are bad sometimes it just feels like it will never get better. “Fire the coach”, “trade anyone & everyone”, & other knee jerk reactions are common for me & others. Good thing we have a pretty good balance here :D

I'm a big believer that DMC needed at least 41 games to get the feel of the NBA Game

And, I don’t see where JT is that much of an improvement over Carl if any. JT had a couple of games where the in close shots started to fall, but over all his inside game is still tip-ins of the offensive glass.

We are too young and inexperienced so I’m not sure anything would of helped us early in the season, except a x’s & o’s coach that had us running some kind of offensive set other than one on one iso’s.

Question and I'm not picking at your statement (although I could) here:

By feel do you mean finding consistency? Or something else?

I guess by 'feel' I meant that he would learn what part of his game works in the NBA

learn to play under control, and not let excitement and adrenaline control his game. More about learning what he can’t do yet, rather than what he can do.

I certainly didn’t mean he’d have his act together, only that he would start to feel more comfortable.

Well

I have to give Darko some credit. He does post some average to above average numbers, given 24 minutes of playing time. …But, seriously, calling him an All-Star is really a stretch, to say the least.

Statistically,

this would be like the Clips touting DeAndre Jordan or the Kings touting JT. All of these guys are about middle of the pack or worse in the West right now.

DMC and Jordan shows signs of improving significantly

DMC is I think destined for some All-Star games. Center is a thin position talent-wise.

If you look a Center stats (and disregard Stg%) he’s arguably among the best in the West right now.

I agree, if by "one of the best" you mean in the top 50% out of the 15 teams.

I would place him about 6 or 7 on a list of centers in the West. I think he might move up to 4 or 5 by the end of the season, in the West of course.

That out of that list I'd pick DMC hands down except four 4 of them, and I'd just have to think about those four.
