I'm Thankful For You, Sactown Royalty
I'm thankful to Tom Ziller for allowing me to write for such a wonderful site and be part of an amazing staff.
I'm thankful for the opportunities that being a writer/member of this site have given me as a Kings fan.
I'm thankful that I've gotten the chance to meet a lot of you, and have made several new friends.
I'm thankful that even in the midst of a lockout, with no end in sight, I'm still able to come on here and find something to talk about. The level of discourse and sense of community we have is unparalleled from any other website I've perused.
I'm thankful knowing that even when things aren't going great, I can come here and find something that will brighten my day.
I could go on and on, but I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm thankful for you, Sactown Royalty.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Thanks for all the work you and the rest of the STR gang have done to make this such an awesome site. Seriously on of the best sports communities I’ve seen.
It comes down to reality
And it's fine with me 'cause I've let it slide
Happy NBA Lockout Thanksgiving StR
I have to admit – Thanksgiving is a holiday I don’t understand. It may have started as some celebration of togetherness in recognition of the welcoming native Americans to their aggressive Anglo invaders (hey, it eventually spawned Casinos!). It has represented a day of giving to those who don’t have and for most of us, appreciation for all we do have; it is an ultimate day of excesses. Eat chips and dip, cheeseball (!), to nog or not to nog, then a choice of proteins, sugar glazed salted fat or a lean dry stringy sedative, included with a lineup of secondaries: starches, sugar coated, fat blended and covered, and lastly so many desserts that Randy Youngman and his version of "sky" have to be mentioned (pecan, pumpkin, apple, berry, peach, cherry, lemon meringue).
Ok, I am a Thanksgiving Grinch (and a hypocritical one at that). What has that got to do with basketball? The involvement with food, family, friends and football, the growing excitement of college basketball (grats Coach K) and the lack of negotiating news has revealed a realization, most glaring: The NBA is sinking into insignificance. Ringing in the NBA’s ears is a cacophony of emptiness. With no hope of an agreement in sight, fans furrowed brows have led to brow upswings and shoulder shrugs. Is there any more disheartening a sign for a business then finding out your customers don’t need you or miss you and they realize it?
So, NBA owners and NBA Players Union – Americans are going to spend the day eating until they puke. We all have plenty on our plate – you better make news you turkeys unless you want to be leftovers.

Rafter
Your bit of trivia appropos for the day: a group of turkeys is a called a rafter.
And for football: The pride of Lions was destroyed, soon the pod of Dolphins will be sunk and the congress of Ravens will be veto-ed.

Happy Thanksgiving to the loyal Sactown Royalty group.
All my kids and grandkids live in Alaska and needless to say I miss them during the holidays. I also miss NBA basketball and especially the Kings. But no matter what, Sactown Royalty is always around to cheer me up. There is always a laugh in there somewhere. Wit is never lacking with this group, even the bickering is enjoyable. Thank you all and enjoy this Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving to all at Sactown Royalty.
I’m not American, but for those who are and are celebrating Thanksgiving today, cheers.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at StR
It’s because of the great people on this site that we are still able to be battling to keep our team where they belong, here in SAC! We’ve got a lot ot be thankful for and a lot ahead still…keep up the fight StR!
I always vote 100% in the fans' confidence poll because I'm Thankful that the Kings are..
still a part of Sacramento.
I still come here every single day, when it used to be about following the Kings,
it’s now about checking in on how my fellow STR’rs are faring. Hope you all are well.
