KINGS 106, LAKERS 102: Marcus Thornton scored 23 points off the bench and Jimmer Fredette had a nice outing with 17 points--on 6-of-10 shooting--and six assists as the Kings broke into the win column. Sacramento led for most of the game, never by more than 10, but was able to keep the Lakers at arm's length. Ron Artest--yes, we're still calling him that--hit a three with 15 seconds left to pull L.A. within three. Shannon Brown fouled Tyreke Evans, who sank one of two to seal the win. Evans had 21 points, six rebounds and 13 assists for the Kings, who grabbed more than a third of their own misses and held a 12-5 edge in second-chance points.
