Here We Stay! In-game plan
Alright guys, we're really close to a sell out so it is now time to finalize our plans for the actual game. For this I need a couple things from you
First, I need you all to vote from the below list for a second or third chant to use during the game. The "Here-We-Stay" chant is a given, but I would like at least one, if not two, more chants to use. I pulled these from the other thread so pick the one you like the best to hopefully have a final flier by tonight or early tomorrow.
We will use these chants after the national anthem (probably the Here-We-Stay), right before tip off, during a couple timeouts throughout the game (to be determined), when the Clippers are at the free throw line, at the beginning of the 3rd quarter, and at the end of the game.
A very important component for these chants is going to come down to being able to get them started and have people follow our lead. I expect every one of us to lead this effort around the arena. For this, I would like to know where you are all sitting. Please, those of you with tickets to the game, drop a comment with your section number (and row) for me to get a better idea of how we can make this work. We want to make sure we have enough people to pass out fliers around their sections and to hold signs (we're working on getting these donated). Also, let me know if you would like to be even more involved in leading this effort, I could certainly use the help.
Update: I can see from the comments that some of you are already working on your own signs; that's awesome. The more the merrier. We could turn Arco into a sea of signs with our message (just remember to keep it positive). And please don't forget about letting me know where you'll be sitting.
If I think of something else, I'll update the post. For now, please vote and let me know your location for the game. I'll check back later tonight to see where we are at. To make it easy for me to go through the comments and take notes, please keep some of the banter to a minimum (only this thread). Thanks everyone.
Let's do this!!

What about a good old...
Sac..Ra..Men..To. (clap) (clap) (clap, clap, clap) I’ve created a 10’ banner already baring the name for the game. I am also working on posterboards (3’X4’) each containing the letters H E R E W E S T A Y. They are front and back. I am planning on bringing them down as close to center court as possible. My buddy and I are in section 102 row B. We will need an additional 8 people to help the cause if you are nearby. I plan on getting the chant going before each quarter. I’ll also have a few long roll out banners that could use some assistance. I’ve put my Jr. High students to work on this…if only they could work this hard on their school assignments.
I can also make some copies of any planned handouts. Being a teacher I have access to “free” copies on my riso machine. I can probably swing a 1000 or so copies. Let me know if we have a set handout.

When we have the final flier
We’ll post it here. Make as many copies as you can and pass them out at game. Thanks for the help

At first I liked one more year
But in the end, decided against it. After all, we want to keep this team here forever.

Agree, I though maybe Sac-For-Ever instead...but it was a little too close for Suck-For Ever.

That would just be painful. Which makes me wonder how Sonic fans feel now that the Thunder team is really close to being a contender.

I liked the sound of Here We Stay
but whatever we end up voting on, I hope we are successful in conveying our message
"For five decades (and counting), these fans have been blessed with West, Baylor, Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Shaq and Kobe. Seven of the 15 best players ever. At some point, the gravy train will end. The Lakers will bottom out like the Knicks did last decade, submarined by bad moves, poor signings and unlucky drafts. Their fans will flee in droves. Jack will pass away. The buzz will be gone. That's how the NBA works -- in a 30-team league, you can't always get lucky, not even if you're a big-market team with deep pockets. I don't know if that day is three years off or 30, but it's coming." Bill Simmons

Signs and Banners
Hi for the first time… I’ve been a long time "lurker," but this is my first time jumping in.
You guys are great. This Anaheim news has been distressing for me and knowing this movement is going on makes me feel a little better. Things are looking grim right now but at least there’s a sense of community here.
I’ve got my tickets for the Clippers game.
Anyhow, I’m the graphic designer/printer Ed had mentioned earlier. I can donate some signs for the game if anyone is interested. I have a limited amount of material to use, so it’ll be first-come, first serve.
I can do vinyl banners (just a few), paper banners, and poster boards.
I’m making a few of my own designs (like below), but I could throw something custom together for you providing it won’t be too time consuming. Or if you have your own design I could do that.
Just let me know if you’re interested…

Ivan an idea for a poster
I posted this lower and realized i probably should have just replied to your post.
How possible would it be to take the old picture of Christie Punching fox and put a disney character on Fox’s head? Maybe put a caption like "We’ll fight for our KINGS!" or "Suck it Anaheim!"

These are in-fucking-credible.
Also, someone mentioned doing this as a billboard, but I think it would also be great to have a big sign that said “Joe and Gavin, we’ll mow your lawn if you stay!”. Reminding the Maloofs of the Glory Years in any way possible can’t be a bad thing.

I'm not suggesting this as the front-runner, but if you could swing it just once, I'd be grateful.

I like the chants "Here We Stay" and "Don't Go"
We know “Here We Stay” will be one of them. The other is still up in the air.
The reason I like “Don’t Go” better is because it’s logical. “Don’t Go” is the closest way of saying “Here We Stay”, but yet is the reverse in application. “Here We Stay” is a positive statement. “Don’t Go” is a negative statement, yet with a positive twist for us.
So like two sides of a coin, I think “Here We Stay” and “Don’t Go” provide a complete thought of our passions as Kings fans.
That’s my thought anyways..

This is key too and why I wanted everyone to post where they’re seating.
If you see someone sitting close to you, start planning amongst yourselves what to do in your sections, how to pass out fliers, if you’re bringing signs, make sure you share them with those close to you.
This is a group effort and we gotta encourage that. We have been doing an amazing job, let’s keep it up!

If I can get a big, bright sign I’ll make sure it’s on tv…was someone making shirts? If so, we’ll have our 5 month old with us and a shirt saying something about wanting to grow up and watch the Kings would send a nice message to the tv audience as well. Interesting
I voted for “1 More Year” buy it appears that “Stay in Sac” seems to be the winner so far. Isn’t that a bit too familiar to “Here we Stay”?
Btw Ed, I can’t do anything physically to help you, but I can volunteer my time online if you need any help, let me know,
I thought it would've been tough to synchronize a one word chant
Like someone said above, simple but catchy chants are usually the most efficient. It’d be tough to get everyone to chant “Stay” at the same time so I decided to go with the others ones.

My 2 cents
The OUR TEAM chant is a great one.
Also, bear in mind that chants are often difficult to distinguish for an audience that doesn’t know what is being shouted.
I’d suggest to agree upon 3 chants, no more than 4, and have enough posters with these chants distributed. Each time you start one of these chants, have the people with posters of that chant stand up. That will make it easier for other in attendance, and also for those watching the game on TV (if the TV crews do a good job) to know what the chant is.
Of course, I’m oping that everyone will pick it up and the giant roars will be synchronized and easily heard, but this isn’t a perfect world.

I think that the sign synchronization is good idea
If I had to pick 4 chants, I like “Stay-In-Sac,” “Save-Our-Kings,” “SAC-RA-MEN-TO” & “Here We Stay, Not L-A”
There easy to understand, pick up and most important, they convey the message the best.

Chants update
We have now finalized our chant flier and should be posting it on the site sometime tomorrow. The next step will be to promote this flier and make sure as many people as possible get their hands on it.
I’m also looking for volunteers to show up early on Monday and help me pass out fliers, shirts, signs, and everything we may need. This may include having a little meeting on Sunday (if possible). I’ll ask on an updated thread so start thinking about it if you think you can help out with this.
Thanks everyone for their input.
