My name is Paul, I will admit I have only lurked here, but post sporadically on another Kings forum. Not saying one is better than the other at all, I just found the other forum first and kind of stuck with it because I don't have a lot of time to chat on multiple forums. But, from everything I have seen from SacTown Royalty and it's members the last few days, I definitely will be spending more time here. You all have made me a fan of this site by your actions, not because it is a Kings site.
I am one of the financially limited fans right now and It looks like I didn't make the first run of tickets passed out, but I am not here to complain or lobby for priority if there is a next round. I just wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to Tom Ziller and all of SacTown Royalty for even having the chance for tickets and everything being done here. You guys are amazing!
You all should give yourself a pat on the back no matter how this issue turns out. The people who had the ability to donate money towards buying tickets for us less fortunate fans, you also deserve a huge THANK YOU! I believe I even read there were some international donaters, incredible! I am so happy to see so many kind gracious people willing to help less fortunate fans get to this important game. If the Kings stay here in Sacramento, I believe part of it will be because of the efforts of SacTown Royalty and all of the amazing Kings fans. I love our home team and the great wonderful fans we have here in Sacramento!
There are many fans who are die hard Kings fans, but for various reasons may not be able to afford to go to as many games now or any at all. They shouldn't be looked at as lessor fans and I hate it when I see other fans being critical of poor fans who cannot afford it. Even cheap seats can work out to an expensive night when you account for gas, parking, potentially taking a night off work, and babysitters if you don't bring the kids. I know there are ways to make it easier like parking outside arco. But, sometimes its a choice, like do I spend $50 for me and my wife to go to a game or $50 for my kids clothes because they are outgrowing them. Now granted I know there are plenty of fans who really can afford to go, but instead go out to the movies weekly, eat out at restaurants frequently, drop loads of money at the bar or club every week, and other things and then complain they can't afford to go to the game. Just don't group all fans who can't afford to go with types like that. /rant lol
Once again, even If I don't make it to the game I want to personally thank all of you here for your efforts and I hope to see all of you chanting your butts off on TV! Bring the cowbells! If there is a march before the game I will be there to march with you guys whether I have tickets or not! Our voices must be heard!
GO KINGS! HERE WE STAY!
