Here We Stay Won't Stop on Feb. 28th
While the February 28th game against the Clippers is our official "Here We Stay" night, we can't let the momentum stop there, especially with the decision to relocate or not being extended past the original March 1st date.
The Kings have 12 more home games (including the Clippers game) and we want to try to sell out each and every one of them. This is a lofty goal, perhaps unattainable in this economy. But this is our last chance to make a statement to the Maloofs, the city, and the NBA that this is OUR team and we're not going to go down without a fight.
So if you've been thinking about coming to a game, buy a ticket or two. Let your friends know, spread the word. If you take signs to the Clippers game, keep them, bring them to other games as well, or give them to friends who will be going if you can't.
After the jump, a link to tickets to the remaining games including a count of how many tickets are still available according to Ticketmaster, as well as links to current Kings ticket packages if you want to save some money if you plan on going to more than one game. If you want to bring a group to the game, I definitely recommend calling a Kings ticket representative to get a group rate and avoid Ticketmaster fees.

UPDATE: I found out why the TicketMaster numbers for tickets remaining is always lower than what the team reports. It's because ...
The number on Ticketmaster will always be smaller because it doesn't include various holds that aren't released onto the system until game day. Those include league-required holds, opposing team holds and seats potentially killed for cameras. TM also doesn't show wheelchair accessible seats or seats we've held to be available for multi-game packages.

Looks Daunting
Would be amazing if we could get sellouts or close to it though. I’ve already got tickets to the Clips, Warriors, and Thunder. Will definitely work getting tickets to some of the others.
Perhaps we should work on getting the last game vs. the Lakers sold out first. For one, to limit the amount that will be picked up by Lakers fans. And two, because it would be our last chance game.

Good idea to grab Laker tickets
I can see some of their rowdier fans taunting with OC crap and we want as little of that as possible
In my quest to set the family record and live to 103, I am beginning to get pissed at the amount of body parts falling off along the way.
It’s really a bummer that the Lakers are the last opponent. There are only 2,000 tickets left so you know they are already going to be there in full force. We really need to have 2,000 Kings fans grab the rest of those tickets.
It would be horrible in the last game of the Kings possibly being here that our voice get drowned out by taunting Lakers fans.
Well one positive is that Kobe and everyone might not play
Their playoffs spot might be locked up and they might sit their stars. In which case we will need to blow them out of the water so the Laker fans are quiet from the get go

Also
The game can serve as a negative foreshadow of how most of their home games in Anaheim would look like. Especially the two games each year where the Lakers absolutely turn the Honda Center into their gym.
If a ton of blue and gold jerseys show up at the last game (as they usually do in recent years) someone should to have a sign or something. Hah
WHAT??
Laker fans are moronic. Cal’s colors are blue and gold, the Lakers are purple and yellow/gold.

Said this in the other thread, but I checked Ticketmaster
And according to it there is 218 upper level tickets and 114 lower level tickets available for Monday’s game. For a combined total of 332 tickets available
I did not check to see how many of those are single seats.
Tell your friends. Get these remaining tickets sold!!

Around 60k seats at 33 each
we need about 2 million bucks…Bueller? Bueller?

If they would have signed me for the 1.25 million they were short under the cap
I could have helped out

I asked in the other thread as well.
What can we do besides tickets? I know that’s the biggest part of this operation, but what other options are there or what can we keep going from the efforts from this Monday?
We can of course keep the chants going, but what else? We have to stay creative and we have to stay proactive.
Can we maybe work out another emergency StR night for something like the Cleveland game that isn’t a huge draw but would still be a fun night for a meetup since there’s a decent chance for a win?
Anybody got any incriminating pictures of anybody we can exploit?
Kidding.

Maybe not spam, but something a bit more thought out.
I think a lot of us have already done the email thing for the city council and Arco Arena staff. Do we have any way of sending any long-form writing to the Maloofs? I know they have financial motivations as well, but I think we can add a personal note to show them that they’re not just dealing with a lot of citizens who don’t care about the team.
I’m thinking letters/emails to them that talk about our Kings memories and what the team means to us and our families and to the community as a whole. Really drive home the point that if they leave, a lot of people are going to be affected on a deep personal level. Make sure this isn’t just an economic decision for them. This is something that means a lot of things to a lot of people.
At this point buying tickets is our best shot to have our voice heard
But I’m sure we’ll organize some other things before all is said and done.

e-mail your councilman – or all of them. Encourage others to go to games. Go with a friend if you can’t afford to bring your family.

I remember a season or two ago
Coach k was thinking of leaving duke and coaching lakers. A fan wrote a quick heartfelt letter and he said it truly changed his mind. I think quick heartfelt letters would be best. They probably get enough “you can’t leave” five page essays but I’d anyone has any short emotional (my fill in the blank took me to games but now they are gone so kings remind me of them) stories now is the time. The heartstrings are the only things that are goin to keep them here.

I messaged HereWeStay and Ed
But getting a HereWeStay Graphic with what its all about available for people to Print out and place in their car windows, might be a good way to get word out around Sacramento.
Great job guys
You’ve done one he’ll of a job. Yesterday, for the first time I’ve heard a commercial for the Kings-Clips game on 107.9. I’m not sure if that was a direct from you guys but I’m sure that you had something to do with it. That’s awesome.
I’d love to go to the game on 28th, but I have an OChem class till ten:(
Glad to hear that this is not the only game for Here We Stay, this means I will attend obe for sure.

One more thing
If I buy tickets from a person I know, who I believe is working with the Kings, but not directly from the Kings, is that fine?
I know that we can do whatever we want, but for the Here We Stay cause is that ok?
I would think so, since we are still putting butts into seats, but wanted to know STRs opinion

I doubt it stops for only the Clipps game.
The Clipps game was the original focus because it was the first game. The point of this post is that it doesn’t stop on February 28tn and carries on to March 2nd and so forth.

I feel for Kings’ fans, truly I do. But getting geeked up for one game right before the filing deadline to move is a year late and many dollars short. Pressuring city hall/civic leaders via votes or pushing for financing for a new arena the past few years actually might’ve saved your team.

The big question is what do I wear!
I don’t have own any Kings merchandise and wearing anything from my Anaheim-based teams wouldn’t go over well. Also, I could rep Cal, but people may think that I am rooting for GS!! Haha.
Should be a fun game regardless.

White or Purple.
I’ll probably just wear a white “Meet the Kings” shirt I have because my jerseys are of older players and my practice jersey is mostly black…

I shall wear a black Hawaii shirt . . .
it is the only neutral thing I have. Hahaha.
As a Ducks fan, we despise the LA Kings, and wearing purple is frowned upon and if I were to wear a Sacramento shirt, Laker fans (the ones that burn down their own city after winning a championship) wouldn’t be to happy with me! I am from SoCal, and I love it there, but Laker fans all fans from LA proper are annoying as hell. :)

What if we all printed out our letters to the Maloofs and brought them to the game and signed them by hand. We could put them all in big ass envelope and someone in the lower level and deliver it to the Maloofs!

Another idea of what people can do if they can't make a game
There’s standing room only left on Monday, but we still can get as many people to watch the game as possible. It would also send a message of support if we could get TV ratings to jump substantially as well.
Need to sell out the games first, but at least with Clips game being sold out, we’ll give all of Sacramento and beyond a big reason to tune in on TV.
I mean it kinda goes without saying
But at least we can mention it to everyone we know about specifically tuning in because it will be a historic night
