Has the team quit on Westphal

A caller to Grants show made asked this question, and while it was great hearing Grant overreact to a sensible question.  If you look at last weeks results, a loss to an awful Cavs team, No shows against the 6ers and Bulls, and a blow out win against a T Wolves team without Love and Beasley who no showed.  What do you all think?  If the team is going to Anaheim do you care who the coach will be?  If Westhpal goes inspite of the vote of confidence Petrie was given is his job safe?

I just think they’re not a great team right now. They have potential in the future, but right now, they are what they are … a 17 win team.

i think they have quit on the season

it seems like a lot of the guys like Westphal

Honestly I don't care.

It’s not my worry once April 18th comes and there is an announcement that the team is leaving for Anaheim.

If Omri has 12 games with 85+ TS% (20+ mins only) on the season, I will send RikSmits a slice of Cherry Pie with real Californian cheese pasteurized locally in Washington state.

No way

It is pretty obvious to me the players are attempting to compete but lets face it… they lack the experience and talent compared to these other teams. Lets not forget they’r also without their best player in Tyreke.

I would agree on some nights when the things aren’t going well DMC appears to have given up on that specific game, but the season and the coach? I dont see it.

Daly becomes a FA at the end of the season and wants to show the league what hes worth. DMC wants to prove to everyone hes not a rook. Many of the players on the team are fighting for minutes. Hell, some guys on the Kings are fighting just to get another contract or to avoid being shipped off to the D-League. Anybody with a little pride is not willing to get blown out by 40 against Chicago wether you give up on the coach or not.

In Tyreke's absence

the torch has been passed, and the Kings have a new “best” player. That didn’t take long, but frankly it wasn’t that hard to do..

I wonder why that's even an issue

I have plenty of criticism regarding PW, but on most nights, this team gives a good effort. It could be they are playing hard despite PW, not becasue of him, but I think that is untrue and such an assumption would be unfair to him.

So sure, there have been a few stinkers lately, and the loss to the Cavs stand out in that respect. But if you see our record, the youth, the turmoil surrounding the team, possible fatigue of some players and significant injuries, I think the team has done well in terms of effort.

In a season of horrible inconsistency and consistent awfullness, the team’s effort has been mostly consistently good.

Dunking Dutchman - betting that Omri will have at least 12 games with 85% TS% this season.

But they didn't beat one of the best NBA teams....

….that is playing like a machine and rolling over everyone, or even lose by reasonable margin (like 1 or 2). That’s crappy ass coaching, yo.
