This is a formal request to please, please, please stop with the girlfriend analogies, husband-wife analogies, yo-girl analogies, this is like cheating on your woman analogies etc. etc.

The Kings are NOT our girlfriend, we do not make love to them, or buy them chocolate roses to say sorry for sleeping with that other girl but now we have to make that other girl's friends vote on if they approve of us.  It is a complete simplification of a very complicated situation and has been beat to death.  It almost never works and the more elaborate they get to try to be original just serve to muddle up things even more.

I don't feel I'm speaking for myself when I say, as soon as I see the words "This is like when your girlfriend...." or similar statement, I automatically stop reading and invalidate your argument.

Thank you for letting me rant, kind of like when I have a bad day at school and I come home and my wife lets me complain to her about how bad my day was even though she had her own bad day at work but lets me complain anyways.
