Hear the voices of all Kings fans

As a daily reader of Sactown Royalty, I admire the unrelenting efforts of the passionate fans and supporters that give their full efforts to save our team even in the direst of situations. Members and organizers of Here We Stay take their valuable time to show the world that Kings fans are truly dedicated and passionate supporters in a time the city needs it most.

It pains me to see all of the negative news and signs pointing towards relocation and could not fathom the prospect of our beloved team moving elsewhere. I decline to give up and accept the fate until it is official, despite what naysayers proclaim.

The prospect of losing a team is by far the most gut wrenching, most painful, most emotional experience a sports fan can ever go through, and no other fan can ever say they've experienced worst. No playoff or Finals loss can ever compare to the pain of losing a team, and I respect every single Kings fan that continue to support, continue to strive, and continue to look for hope.

With many sources saying that the move is very likely, I feel disappointed about my lack of control towards my our team's fate. I feel disappointed not being able to support Here We Stay, attend games, or spread the word about supporting the Kings.

Recently, I read an article about a guy who asked a girl to prom with the help of Bruins fans. Initially I thought it was a just a very interesting prom idea I could save for later on.

However, I realized: what if we as Kings fans do the same? What if we all compile clips of as many Kings fans as possible, saying what we love about the Kings, and why we want them to stay in Sacramento? Whether at a school, at the Kings game (Here We Stay II?), at a bedroom, whatever, a short but heartwarming and revealing video will show, not just the Maloofs, but the entire NBA that Sacramento is filled with fans who care.

Why I love the Kings: I grew up in the Philippines watching the Kings since I was 6 years old, and I remember tuning in at 9 o'clock in the morning just to watch their games. I loved them then, and I love them just as much now.

I want them to stay in Sacramento because it may be a small town, but it has the heart of lion. Not to mention I'll be going to UC Davis next fall, and I know the Kings will be a big part of my college life.

I hold the team dear to my heart, and I know there are many, many more who feel the same way. I'm not at all familiar with the blogosphere, but this idea pushed me to write, and I really just want the world to hear the voices of the SACRAMENTO Kings fans.
