One owner who spoke anonymously to SI.com said "a lot of owners are leaning against it." And with league officials and some owners concerned about the Maloofs' long-term viability, there are many who would prefer they either sell the team or move to a market that doesn't infringe so heavily on their colleagues.

If the Maloofs' relocate
If the Maloofs’ file for relocation they will forever regret their decision much like the way they regretted selling the Houston Rockets (when they owned them), only worse. They will have to live with the fact that they have ripped the hearts out of every Kings fan in and around Sacramento and worldwide.
They don't give a shit about that.
They gave their own seats to Lakers fans for what they hoped would be the last game ever in this city. They are soulless, and otherwise empty.*

Rocks are free, and slingshots easily stolen. And for a limited time, every third person who follows me on Twitter (andy_sims) gets a free ice cream cone.
Which I will eat.
Sounds good to me.

…You mean we’re getting no-terrible news? That HAPPENS!?
I cannot agree with those who rank modesty among the virtues. To the logician all things should be seen exactly as they are, and to underestimate one’s self is as much a departure from truth as to exaggerate one’s own powers.

If they do go
The Maloofs better not show their faces in Sac for a looooooong time

THIS is good news
The owners blocking this is the best way to keep the Kings here. And with Burkle now in play it give the Maloofs an out if they’re forced to stay rather than them just having to stew until they find another destination or they go bankrupt. Hopefully enough of them are leaning against it. Keep it up Buss!
