Damn, I wish I could listen to this.
Thanks in advance to all those who summarize KJ’s remarks.

All I've been able to gather so far
Is that the media people are freezing their arses off. KJ’s running a bit late.
Burklemaniac
going to guess
That he tells who the corporate sponsors are and gives a date that ICON will present what they have so far. Peppered in will be the same “we don’t know if this going to work but thanks for the effort” kind of speech.
I think because Thunder Valley’s name is now out there the other sponsors want their face time too.

I wonder if they all realize the mic is open
They’ve been talking to each other for a while, waiting for KJ to come out. Nothing inappropriate heard so far
Maybe KJ just got a phone call from the Maloofs that he had to take

I bet he's just casually late in the spirit of 4/20

Looking good already
everyone behind KJ

Ok, details as we go here
Kings are one of most valuable assets in our community. We are a viable market in Sacramento, region and city. Top 20 media market.
All regional leaders in attendance are committed to understanding importance of Kings.
Burklemaniac
KJ
First objective is to show NBA is viable market and that $7 million goal is met and they want to keep the Kings and Maloofs in Sacramento.
Burklemaniac
West Sac mayor
Implying that this region has a great reputation nationwide for coming together on big projects. WTF?
Burklemaniac
It's just a show of force
But much, much needed. We’ve never had an image like this is in regional support for the team
For fans like you Otis yes.
For fans who don’t pay attention to these details 24/7, it will get their attention.

Pretty cool to see all the unity
Should be a strong message
"Children want what they want when they want it." ... Andy Sims
Yep, probably not too much we could have expected from this
Other than a unified show of support from the regional leaders.
Burklemaniac
Maybe KJ
should do it the way colleges recruit football/basketball players ….. have a group of women waiting for Bennett and Co at the airport?

I like the idea in the one sense
But for me, Sign Lady can rep the Sacramento Kings anytime. With fans like her, what else do you need (other than a new arena)?

I think he was the last guy to speak. He had dark 80's cop sun glasses on.

they're really hammering on "entertainment center"
and the economic benefits. Taking it wider than just the Kings; smart move.
Dunking Dutchman - lost the bet to pookey that Omri will have at least 12 games with 85% TS% this season.

nothing new as far as
Info.. But everyone is inching closer and closer together.. thats a good thing, cause its gonna take more than just sacramento to do this, we need regional support.
Nice little closing statement/answer though by KJ
regarding Bennett maybe having some bias:
“If he’s a guy that might take some convincing, that’s fine, bring it on, we’re setting a high standard for ourselves and we expect to meet it.” (paraphrasing)
Also said that Bennett is actually a really good person for the job because he knows both sides of it, knows why Seattle couldn’t keep the team and what needed to be in place in OKC to get the team there. Says maybe if Seattle did a couple of things differently they could’ve kept the team, though he doesn’t know the particulars of that situation. KJ definitely sounds positive and confident, and I think that’s a great thing to show Bennett while he’s here.

worst case scenario
He may be doing some special ops for a move but the Maloofs would still have to execute the plan.
Best case, he will have thresholds that Sac needs to achieve in order for the Kings to stay which provides a constructive basis for negotiation of a new ESC going forward.
I think its both.

This was all I expected and I think it was a strong visual message
- A show of force, for regional support of the team and a new arena.
I mean specific funding details for an arena are not going to come out until the study is near completion which isn’t happening in the next 2 days. I think what they did today was very effective in showing the NBA and us for that matter, that there is a strong political will to get the arena done. This is all that can really be done right now. Jimmy Yee maid a great point that when he was interm mayor he tried to do this, but didn’t get very far 10 years ago.
It is pretty significant that all of these political leaders in our community took the time to get together. They practically stopped business for their local jurisdictions to focus on and show support for this one important topic.
Let's hope the Bee front pages the best of those photos for tomorrow's paper.

Not alot of newsworthy
But ill say that it was very nice to see new and important voices. I RECOMMEND watching it just to get some mental support for ourselves for what we’ve been through. KJ is slowly revealing more and more cards.
Go watch it if u can
