I don't know what's better
That Jimmer is a better athlete than Kemba, or that Kanter is a better athlete than Leonard.
Proof that this stuff hardly matters.

Agree
I love stats. And it’s great to have stats to make sure you are not making bad assumptions, verify your conclusions or shed some light on your weaknesses. However, generally a statistic should vibe with what you are seeing.
Even in baseball, where stats like OBP changed the way the game was played to a degree and made us value certain players more/less, the vast majority of the all star caliber hitters posted high OBPs.
Here these numbers just seem bizarre. It’s great to know Jimmer is more athletic than we thought, but I don’t even think Fredette would claim he was a better athlete than Walker or Singleton.
I have a problem with this
Why they heck is he such a bad defender? I don’t care if your coach tells you to be easy on defense. To me a very competitive person would try. So I’m must assume that he did not really try to be defensive, because he seems to have the tools available. I have a huge problem with this.
/ Wondering if I should change my signature
It's funny
you hear this excuse about players every year. I wonder if anyone has ever compiled a list to see if it is true.
Do heavy usage offensive players with bad D (cause the coach told them to focus on O) become better defenders in the NBA? Or is this just a throwaway line that players use as an excuse for their bad D?
My bet is that Harold Miner and Rex Chapman
would have tested better than Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. Just sayin’.

So Isaiah Thomas is ranked #1 in the composite athletic testing
Shot very well in the shooting section (as well as in college), and ranked 12th in the nation in APG with a better A:TO ratio than any other lottery projected guard.
If he’s up at 35 (and Norris Cole is not, I like him a lot as well), I say we take him. I think he’s being undervalued because of his height.

Charles Jenkins over either of them
yup I am an Isaiah basher. I will give you this – he is the Tyrus Thomas of sub 5’10" point guards in the nation right now.

Why though?
I don’t believe I’ve seen you give a reason. He’s not a head case like Tyrus Thomas either.
I’m not looking for a primary guard here, but for a reliable backup. And he’s better (possibly much better) than Pooh.

oh, I was just giving you "stuff" on TT
As for the other Thomas, his PAC-10 play was good but he does not seem to possess the ability to guard anyone and his playmaking, game changing abilities were inconsistent in a weak conference. I will admit I am strongly influenced by some PAC-10 friends who were former players and watch a lot of PAC-10 ball. (They also sparked my James Harden “love”).
I will also say I am impressed with his Combine showing. For the Kings I don’t think he brings enough to the table for what they need: I don’t see JJ Barea, DJ Augustin or even Earl Boykins. Pooh isn’t that bad and if, big if, Isaiah is better, he isn’t much better and it’s a gamble on a pick the Kings don’t need. Get a big guard (or a “normal sized” guard) if you get a guard to play the point that can defend even with pick #60 or roll the dice on a 7 footer like Jeremy Tyler (who is an enormous risk IMO). Tiny quick guards are lovable but Jeter is enough for today’s Kings.

Where's Kyrie Irving?
HA HA, this guy is going to make CLE look like asses. CLE should take Derrick Williams @ 1 and Knight or Kanter @ 4.

I don't think Irving participated in any of the pre-draft stuff

No worries, the pre-draft stuff doesn't get a lot of publicity
Plus, him skipping it is somewhat unprecedented.
