More Size & Athlete's Need For Better D or Shooters ????
i dnt like Kemba Walker he is too small for my liking... id rather sign DeAndre Jordan for his D and then trade down for a Klay Thompson, Washington State or a Alec Burks, Colorado both athletic guards. and sign thorton...
who would you rather sign to a long deal DeAndre Jordan at 23 & less money then samuel dalembert at almost 31 for more money ?
Klay Thompson is 6'7 - 6'8 with lots of athleticism and one of the best pure shooters in the country & Alec Burks is a long gifted athlete with a nice mid range J

We’re not signing Jordan away from the clippers, we may be able to sign Chris Kaman away
The grammar...

Wierd because If you want athleticism Kemba is your man. He would be a better fit than Burks or Thompson. Also, take a look at the strength and weakness video of Klay at DX. Horrible. Can’t play D, and bad handles to boot. Might as we draft Jimmer if all you want is a shooter and he can handle the ball. Burks, on the other hand, could turn into that Scottie Pippen player who is hard nosed and willing to do whatever it takes to win, and be capable of it, but he would need to improve his shooting and defense. Basically become a workout warrior, just like Pippen. And, yes, the Kings should and will resign Thorton.

Jordan isn’t going anywhere. Blake wants him there in L.A. and they will match whatever offers come in just to keep Mr. Griffin happy. In regards to Sammy, you have to pay for talent. He was injured in the beginning of the year and really came around at the end. 8-9 million for Sammy would be awesome.
There aren’t many stars in this draft but a lot of role players. Could still be a very successful draft for us. Great thing for us is that these guys all know there are pegged as role players. That’s why I got my eye on Singleton. Very committed to being a team guy and works out like crazy. Already shoots great with his feet set. Can guard 1-4. He’ll be one of the top guys in this draft when all is said and done.

My take, via the restricted free agency post
DeAndre Jordan, C, 6-11, 265, age 22, 3 years NBA – OK, so take a kid that is at one time projected to go in the upper reaches of his draft. But questions about his motor and maturity drop him into the 2nd round, where he is ultimately selected 35th. He doesn’t do much over his first couple of years, but over the last couple of months of his 3rd season he averages 8 and 8 and blocks a couple of shots a game (he even eclipses 50% from the free throw line over that period – a first for him!). If you’re the Sacramento Kings and this is Hassan Whiteside, no worries, as you have options on the kid through his 4th year. But if you’re the Clippers, you must now decide whether or not you want to pony up for DeAndre Jordan. Jordan showed some glimpses of his talent down the stretch last year. Was it maturation finally realized or someone playing for his next contract?
The Clippers have the room to keep Jordan. Not including him, they have 10 guys under about $45m worth of contract, and Chris Kaman is entering the last year of his contract, due $12.7m. The question is how much it will cost the Clippers to retain Jordan. Big men are still (and always) at a premium in the league, and it only takes one team to offer Jordan a deal that the Clippers would deem as too rich for Donald Sterling’s vampire blood. Could teams like Toronto see Jordan as the answer to their interior needs? Could the Dubs see Jordan as a viable yin to David Lee’s yang? As far as the Kings are concerned? I’d rather spend the money on Dalembert, even if it meant spending a couple million more per year. That said, I don’t think that the Clips will let him get away, as Jordan should benefit greatly from the arrival of Kyrie Irving…oops, scratch that.
So to answer your question, I would rather sign Dalembert for more money. Yes, he is 31, but he appears to be heading into his best years as a pro – 31 is not old for an NBA center.
Kemba Walker’s height does not concern me at all. Either the kid has the talent to play at the NBA level or he doesn’t. One or two more inches would not make the difference.
If the Kings like Burks or K.Thompson (the two examples that you mentioned), they will likely just draft them at #7. The next time that Petrie trades down in the first round will be the first time. His MO is to find the guy that he likes and then draft him. He did not trade down to take Jason Williams, and he did not trade down to take Jason Thompson, both “surprise” picks.
