There has been a lot of discussion about team needs now that the Kings will be here in Sacramento next year, and a lot of the discussion has centered on making an upgrade at Point Guard. With us having a high pick this year and some skilled point guards at the top, a lot of people have debated Knight vs. Kemba or the possibility of getting Irving. While these may turn out to be good options, if we really need an upgrade at PG, I say we trade the pick and go for one of my favorite players since he came into the league:
He didn't start when he came over to the Nuggets in the trade for Melo, although he did play a significant amount of minutes. I think Felton helps us because he's a good passer and doesn't have that shoot-first mentality that players like Kemba have. Although not known as a shooter, Felton can definitely hit the open shot. He wont try and take over the game during crunch time, a role which should be left to DMC and Reke or Thornton. I think Denver does this because Felton and Ty Lawson are redundant, and they need to land a superstar to improve their collection of above average players. I don't know much about making the $$ work, but this is my proposed trade:
To Sacramento:
PG Raymond Felton
Denver's 2011 1st round pick
To Denver:
PG Beno Udrih
Sacramento's 2011 1st round pick
And maybe if Petrie can really pull off a heist, we can swap Omri for Gallinari, who would give us the 3pt shooter we need.
Is this trade feasible? Would you do it?
