I don't think Dalembert will sign
there unless it’s for a whole lot of $$ which we don’t know if Miami will be able to spend under the new CBA. There won’t be enough shots for him with the Heat. And we all know how much Sammy thinks of his offense and how much he loves to shoot.

quote Sammy:
“But the Heat meets at least two of his criteria: "I want to play for a team that can win a championship. And a team that can run the fast break. Miami has a good one."
kings don’t remotely meet his 1st criteria and only partially the 2nd. sounds like he’s played his last game for the kings, but more likely to be a knick than heatle.
I would go as far as to say that Dalembert,
if he joined the Heat, would be their 3rd best player.

One concern is what LeBron had with Shaq
Or if Shaq had played many Cavs games. With two slashing players would Dally clog up the lane too much on the offensive end?

We knew this was a possibility
but it’s kind of meaningless until we know what the new CBA looks like.
If Sammy wants to play for a ring in the next couple of years, he might take an escalating midlevel deal that pays him ~30 mil over 5 years.
But I don’t see him signing for less than a million to chase a ring. So depending on the new CBA, this conversation might be over before it starts.
Well the Kings are likely to offer something like 36 mil for 4 years, or for the math challenged, 9 mil/yr
That’s a lot of change to give up in order to chase a ring. Even coming from a humanitarian perspective with all the work Sammy does in Haiti, that’s about 3 mil less per year that he could otherwise spend on his passion.
However, I could see a three team deal involving a sign and trade with Sammy going to Miami. Someone might take on Bibby, Joel Anthony, Chalmers, Miller in some combination which results in the Kings getting their vet player.

Agree, but again, also depends on
1 – If we want to do Miami a favor
2 – What sign and trades look like in the new CBA, if they exist at all
As far as the CBA goes
I think changes won’t handicap big spenders. There will be a reduction of salaries and revenue sharing for sure, but I think the NBA wants to keep the image of an NBA franchise as a billionaire plaything. I think as far as reigning in huge pay roles like the Lakers there will be a top out for the luxury level. Something like 20% of the cap and anything in between is taxed. I think the sign and trade stays even if modified for those billionaire spenders.

We'll see
I don’t think they want the perception that teams can buy a ring or a repeat of Miami. This iteration is probably good for the NBA. But if superstars teaming up becomes the norm, there ceases to be a reason to cheer for a small market franchise. I think they know it’s a bad long term strategy.
I don't think it's anything more than the league trying to put more money in the owner's pockets
The league just got it’s highest ratings for an NBA Finals in over a decade. Even if there were public protestations, I think the league loves the current incarnation of the Miami Heat.

I'm not completely obsessed with jimmer, section.
Ah who am I kidding? Yes I am. Didn’t u notice the word jimmermania under the headline? If I don’t type in his name at least once an hour I break out in the sweats. Lol.
Ah man! I got some Jimmer in my eye!
Sammy wants a ring?
Sammy is also only 30 and has one good contract left. I just don’t believe he takes so much less money. Plus, I don’t think he likes those guys very much – and that matters to Sammy.

This a million times over
The first rule of your sports agent is to get your contract matters in order, meaning as big a deal as possible. The 2nd rule is to get the client to their preferred destination.
Barring the equivalent of the athlete’s career death bed signing onto the favorite, these rules almost unanimously apply to every player.
Hard Cap!
Don’t even think about touching him Miami.
