Kings To Bring In Josh Selby and Others on Sunday and Monday

Stay connected for news and updates

The Kings today announced two more group workouts for Sunday and Monday, this time mainly featuring 2nd round prospects.

The biggest name of the bunch is Kansas SG Josh Selby, who could go in the 1st round.  Joining Selby on Sunday are Cory Joseph (PG, Texas), Austin Freeman (SG, Georgetown), Xavier Silas (SG, Northern Illinois), Malcolm Thomas (F, SDSU), and Keith Benson (F/C, Oakland).

The following workout on Monday includes Matt Howard (F, Butler), David Lighty (SG, Ohio St.), Gilbert Brown (SG, Pittsburgh), Corey Fisher (PG, Villanova), Papa Dia (F/C, SMU), and D.J. Gay (PG, SDSU).  Of this bunch, Howard and Lighty are probably the main event.

The Kings will hold one last workout Tuesday, June 21 before the Draft on Thursday.  It's unknown who is invited currently, but it doesn't look like anyone else that could go at the 7th pick is coming in.  It also doesn't look like the Kings will have anyone back for a second time like they have done in isolated cases the last couple years (most notably with Kings draft picks Tyreke Evans and Hassan Whiteside).
