Disclaimer:Bleacher Report. Pure speculation, plus you would have to be drunk and or high to make the trade. I like knight but not enough to give up Reke.

Just say one thing: Bleacher Report

and then move on

(my favorite: Evans, Thronton and the #7 pick for the #3 pick and Greg Oden and Rudy Fernandez). This is beyond ridiculous. I think they should add Cousins to the trade to really make it sing.

That made me laugh out loud.

Maybe i should have posted this, but I’m falling in love with Knight and can’t help it.

Even if you put the drunkest guy in the world in charge of the Kings

they would not make this trade.

I would like to thank all of you for the outpouring of support during my time of need. I proudly, and with great relief, announce that my C is now working on my laptop and any errors from now on are due to my inabilty to proofread. I use to proofread my stuff, but it began lowering my self esteem,
I have found it hard to sound intelligent if I think while I key. So in summary ; the worse the keying the smarter my comment. The proceeds from the HereWeFixTheC car wash have been forwarded to HereWeBuild . Thanks.

Can we just trade for Lebron and Wade

we will give Miami Taylor and Pooh and our #7 pick.

by g4y Vulture on Jun 3, 2011 6:02 PM PDT up reply actions

There's 20 minutes of my life I'll never get back

Highlights being someone claiming a more likely trade is the Kings giving up Cousins and the #7 pick for the #3.

Then I clicked this article, suckered in by the promise of 50 BOLD predictions for draft day:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/717254-nba-draft-2011-50-bold-predictions-for-draft-day-in-june#/articles/717254-nba-draft-2011-50-bold-predictions-for-draft-day-in-june/page/5

Only to find 3 of the first 4 bold predictions were Irving goes #1 in the draft, Irving wins ROY and Kanter is the first international player drafted.

It's crazy

One commentator said the only way he would be for it is if the Kings gave the 7th pick and DMC for the 3 pick.

Possible?

The Kings resign Daly before the deadline and trade him to Minny for the #2 pick. Minny would get their “vet PF” that they want, and the Kings would have more cap space for free agency or trades.

by kwill on Jun 3, 2011 12:37 AM PDT reply actions

I’m under the impression teams can’t trade recently signed free agents although with that said somehow sign and trade deals are reconciled.

I think the simpler answer to your point is if Minny wanted Daly they could simply sign him themselves without executing a trade.

Not if he didnt

want to sign and play there. And I doubt this Hatian Vet wants to live in Minny playing on a worse team than he’s already on. So my guess is they have a 0% chance of signing him themselves.

by ivAAron on Jun 3, 2011 9:19 AM PDT up reply actions

I hope your joking

nobody would trade Daly for the 2nd pick in any draft even in this so called weak draft.

by sacman on Jun 4, 2011 1:40 PM PDT up reply actions

Ordinarily I would agree with you.

But we’re talking about Kahn, and he’s a person you can’t fit into a box.

this belongs in the assanine trade section. Its not even rumor, its more of a utah fanpost. why would we trade reke and/or thornton for the rights to draft Knight? Bk might be a great prospect and one that GP is coveting, but come on. this one does not even warrent a mention on STR. . to quote ole Ozzie: PHSSSSTTTT….PLEASE

They may trade LeBron James to Cleveland for the #1 overall pick and a bag of cheetos

by gaindeyouth on Jun 3, 2011 9:39 AM PDT reply actions

Seriously

Talk about a crap heap of idiot conjecture. I appreciate that we call our trade thread asinine, as we at least attempt to recognize our bias. Most of us, anyway.

by DirtyDribblers on Jun 3, 2011 9:53 AM PDT up reply actions

It might be time to put an Asinine trade thread up actually

since most of us think we’ll be adding a vet via trade rather than Free Agency. It would give us someplace to link crap like that to.

That article...

Was nonsense. None of those trades made sense for Sacramento. Who do they think our GM is, Kahn?

I cannot agree with those who rank modesty among the virtues. To the logician all things should be seen exactly as they are, and to underestimate one’s self is as much a departure from truth as to exaggerate one’s own powers.

by Beer_man on Jun 3, 2011 5:04 PM PDT reply actions

Evans for the 3rd pick

Call me crazy, and I know some of you will, but I’m just not sold on Tyreke Evans. I think with Thornton on the roster at the 2 position, and Tyreke also playing the 2 there is an issue. I believe our real need has been obvious, we need a difference maker at point guard position. If the kings are truly sold on knight why not take a chance and trade tryreke for the #3 pick. There is now way you include the 7th pick in the trade though, Beno is accomplished enough where he can start at point guard for the season, let knight get his feet wet playing behind beno. You still have the option of trading the 7 pick, with Greene or Casspi and hopefully get the starting sf this team needs.

good call

Maybe i am, it was a rough season for me to watch at times. Maybe the vision of Tyreke single handily trying to take over at the end of so many close games and failing misserably is still fresh in my head. I just think he very overatted in my opinion. Although I will give him the benifit of the doubt due to his problems with his feet.

by sacman on Jun 4, 2011 1:44 PM PDT up reply actions

its a moot point anyways there is now way the Maloofs let Petrie trade Tyreke anyways.

by sacman on Jun 4, 2011 1:46 PM PDT up reply actions

We agree it's moot.

Plus, I was being quite a bit flip with the “You’re Crazy” thing.

lunatic

call for the white coat with the extra long sleeves and buckles.

Evans is a work in progress. No one, not Irving, Williams, Kanter, or MontiVeseuncias or anyone else in this draft have the star, talent level or potential of the 2010 RoY.

by betweentheeyes on Jun 4, 2011 4:54 PM PDT up reply actions

Yikes. YIKES. Yikes. Tyreke for a pick in this horrible draft class! hahaha

I wouldn’t want to trade any of our Top 5 or 6 players and our #7 pick for the Utah Pick….Knight really doesn’t impress me at all, and I think the weakness of this draft is making him seem more desirable than he really should be.
