OT: Tips for a guy moving back to Sacramento

Hey guys, sorry in advance for the off-topic post. This lockout is KILLING me and I'm trying hard to take my mind off of it. With that being said, I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I'm a native of northern California (not NorCal, northern California), but I moved down to Los Angeles a bit over 5 years ago to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. It's been a great 5 years that could not have gone better, but between my girlfriend getting a job in Sacramento and some family health issues, I feel like it is time for me to quit my job and return. It was certainly a hard decision giving up a great job and leaving a lot of friends, but I already have a job and a place in midtown (around 24th and K). I know the area fairly well, but since my family lives in Placerville I usually spent most of my time up there while I visited. I lived downtown for about 6 months before I left for LA, but I was only 20 and I didn't have a solid grasp on what the city has to offer.

I'm moving up on August 6th, so I'd like to learn of a few things I can go out and do once I arrive. I'm not completely ignorant about the city and I was able to spend 2 weeks at my new place last month. I went to The Golden Bear, a Rivercats game, the Sunday Farmers Market and a few other places. I really enjoyed my time up there and I can't wait to get back.

Any suggestions are genuinely appreciated. Thanks for wasting your time reading this post.
