When does Reggie Theus' mustache appear in the poll?
He’s top 20 for sure.
Go for it all. You're a great champion.

To me, this has to be Bobby.
I love J-Will, but Bobby has more meaningful years here, even if J-Will had maybe the meaningful year here. Bobby has the years of service. I’ll never forget in his return from his abdominal strain injury, he was playing so well, the entirety of Arco was chanting “Bobby! Bobby!” at the end of the game. He was tearful in the postgame, saying it was a magical experience.
Hell, Bobby loved the Kings and Sacramento so much, he’s still here. It’s gotta be Bobby, though I’ll forgive the J-Will vote here and there.
Plot Twist!
I’m going with Brad Miller here. Now, I fully understand that Brad went out like a punk. But he is the only remaining player on the list to make an all star team, and for his first three years here he looked like a tougher version of Vlade. Get a load of this recap of time served on the Kings:
Miller – 385 games, 13.3ppg, 8.6rpg, 4.0apg, 0.9bpg.
Divac – 454 games, 11.4ppg, 7.8rpg, 3.7apg, 1.2bpg.
My educated guess is that if Chris Webber doesn’t blow out his knee, the Kings win a title or two with Miller in the starting lineup, and there is a lively discussion as to whether the #52 should be placed in the rafters. Fate puts the rafter riff to rest, but it does not change the fact the Miller is really the best player left on the board.
If I were voting with my heart, B-Jax, Corliss and Joe Kleine would all get my vote before Brad Miller. But when I look at the on-court performance, Miller is the choice for me.

Oops
It should have read “uneducated guess,” but any of you that have met or read me have probably already come to that conclusion on your own.

I think on-court performance is important, but so is off-court.
That’s why Vlade was voted #3 and why his Jersey is in the rafters, why Doug and Bobby are going to be in the Top 10.
I choose Bobby over Brad easily, because Bobby never gave up on this team. What really solidifies this in my mind was when he came back in 2009 and played with a broken face in a dead end season when he didn’t need to at all. We always knew Bobby was tough, but that just put him on another level for me.
The fact the Kings went on to hire him also says a lot to me.

B-Jax
One of the most fun to watch and passionate players in team history who became an immediate fan favorite. Plus, aside from 2001 starting lineup, he’s only King to get his own SI cover.

The next vote will come down to L-Train and K-Mart for me.

I have a feeling Jimmer will be joining him one day, good or bad.

Ha, yeah
That’s a safe bet. I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s on the next ‘NBA Preview’ cover (whenever that comes out).

Doesn't Jimmer already have an SI cover in his Cougar garb?
or is it an ESPN cover?

Sacramento's Secret Formula 2.0
Reke + Jimmer = Perfectly Insane Point Guard
Not sure how it all plays out but if the NBA ever returns… damn, why do we have to wait?
That’s some explosive stuff, Reke with the slashing, hopefully dishing and some mid-range (please!) hits, Jimmer dropping 30 foot bombs, Thornton tearing it up…
Or it could suck.
Future headline
Reke + Jimmer
The greatest back court on earth! -
Or so my extremely optimism says

I am eager to
Reke Jimmer on the opposition
As a result of the NBA going dark and staging a lockout I plan on saying only depressing things until the season starts. If they put out the schedule I plan to also go and sit in the Arco parking lot on nights games would have been played. I will Tivo CSN on games nights. They can't stop me. Its my team and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to.

Literally, yesterday I had to make this page about things I like out of old magazine clippings and Isaiah Thomas was on the cover of an SI magazine that I found
As a Husky of course, but just what I was looking for. It was hilariously perfect. And I remembered this post too so I had to come and say something. :P

(Bit of a sidenote but if anyone wants to do a StR fantasy football league, look in the fanpost section. Oh and sorry to the mods if that is the innappropriate section)
Hey Aykis -
How about a front page widget that shows the list as it is compiled?

This one was tough one for me between K-Mart and B-Jax and went with the former, but seeing the posts on this board may be should have gone B-Jax.

I went with the Kevin Martin
I know it’s not a popular pick and my reason for it probably won’t be popular. I picked K-Mart for his on-court performance and his ‘discipline’, for lack of a better word, off the court. Kevin never complained, nor demanded to be traded, no matter how bad the team was, what scoring option he was, or who made fun of him (Napear I’m talking to you). If he was miffed off court, at least he would never show it. He was a good pro and I’m sad we couldn’t see a Reke-Martin backcourt for a longer period of time (even though he ended up netting us Marcus Thornton, who I love). His on-court performance speaks for itself.
I love Bobby Jackson for being the tough player that he is and for never giving up on the team, but he didn’t do enough on the court for me to pick him.

All I have to say about this
Kevin never complained, nor demanded to be traded, no matter how bad the team was, what scoring option he was
Is that Kevin never complained publicly.

I'm with you 100%
If I were drafting a team and could choose K-Mart or B-Jax in their prime, it would be K-Mart hands down,
It comes down to reality
And it's fine with me 'cause I've let it slide
Agree on K-Mart
Love Bobby for all the reasons stated above, but I still can’t say he was a better King than Kevin Martin. His 48 against minnesota and then 50 against golden state the next year were amazing to watch. I hope he at least rounds out the top 10.

Also
Big props to Aykis and the rest of the STR crew. This list is awesome and helps keep us away from the utter depression of the lockout.

I'd probably go with Bobby J, but I wouldn't disagree with Brad Miller being chosen.
I was just reading Canis Hoopus and they’re talking about Adelman coaching the T-wolves. Some of the members are comparing the current T-wolves team to the 2001-2002 Kings team. I never thought of comparing Luke Ridnour to Bobby Jackson, but the Kevin Love being equal to Chris Webber comparison made me just go whoa.
Here’s some of the comparisons I saw (from one poster).
Open comparison to ‘01-’02 Kings? Order of the Kings and who from ’Wolves compares…
1. KLove = CWebb
2. DWill/BEasy> Peja
3. Ricky (hopefully) > Bibby
4. Wes (current version) < Christie
5. Darko (current version) < Vlade
6. Ridnour < Bobby Jackson
7. BEasy/Webster > Turkoglu
8. Randolph, Tolly, Pek, etc > Pollard, Funderburke, GWallace (’01 version), etc
