Three Kings Preseason Games Killed By NBA Lockout

Stay connected for news and updates

The NBA has cancelled all preseason games through October 15 due to the ongoing lockout. That costs the Sacramento Kings their first three games, including one scheduled for Power Balance Pavilion. The Kings were slated to host the San Antonio Spurs on October 11 in the preseason opener, but that's been erased. The Kings were then scheduled to go back-to-back in Texas against the Dallas Mavericks and Spurs on Oct. 14 and 15. There are now four games on the Kings' preseason schedule, the first on Oct. 19 against the Golden State Warriors; how long those last remains to be seen.

Conflicting reports emerged from Thursday's talks about whether any progress is being made at all. The sides won't meet again until next week (some urgency), and the Nov. 1 opening -- Nov. 2 for Sacramento -- looks to be in real danger. As always, follow SBNation's StoryStream for full lockout coverage so I don't have to bore you guys with the minutia here.
