I am writing a fanpost so I can; also for the first time ever, say we need to fire Paul Westphal. I have always liked the guy, and still do. However, I don't know if the utter lack of improvement over the last three years (in spite of our assured "meteoric rise to the top" on the coat tales of Tyrekes rookie campaign) can be explained by anything but bad coaching.
There still doesn't appear to be a playbook. I know, I know, new roster and so fourth... but didn't we add some damn veterans? Why does everyone look like they have no clue what the hell they are doing? The rookies are the favorites every year because they add a "spark". Maybe that spark you are seeing is a player who has spent recent minutes under a competent coaching staff.
Is too much pressure being put on our rookies to preform? Are they being pushed to expand their game too soon? Tyreke was going to be GOD. Remember? It was so fun to watch him spin people into the ground. Oh.. but meh... he needs a jumper. meh.. complete player.. meh... So instead of continuing on the path he was on, after 1 amazing year of jaw dropping drives and spectacular layups. Thanks to spending all his time practicing shooting, he has now regressed in his ball handling and driving abilities (anyone who says he hasn't is lying to themselves). Oh and also has appeared to become a headcase who cant even take the pressure of free throws... Do you remember how exciting it was to watch him and say: A couple of years from now.. that dude is going to take over the WORLD. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!? He doesn't look anywhere near as good as he did 2 years ago, and everyone here knows it. Is Cousins doomed to the same fate? How about Jimmer and IT?
How many careers should get ruined? How many already have? Donte Greene? Jason Thompson? Casspi? Remember how excited we were about all of these guys? The Kings are starting to look like a black hole that sucks the talent out of exciting rookies. Has Geoff lost it? Or is this cheap ass coach costing us a competitive team?
